My husband and I stayed here last week and had a terrible experience. The first room we were given had a nightstand hanging off the wall, the outlet in the bathroom was loose, and had mold along the caulk in the shower. When I called the front desk I was told that they didn’t know if they could give me a different room! Despite mold in the bathroom! The response was honestly defensive and while they fixed the situation after I protested, it made me feel like I was the problem. The new room was better but not great with cracked tile that had been caulked over for repair. Coffee in the lobby was consistently out all weekend. On the second day there, I had no hot water when I turned on the shower. Again, the response from the front desk was defensive, insisting that no one else had an issue. It took 45 minutes for the engineer to come up to our room, by which time I had taken my toiletries to our family’s house nearby and showered there. No one asked if the water was back on later and no one checked to make sure we were ok. No one followed up after we left and the manager didn’t return my voicemail when I called the following week. It’s a shame because this is so close to our family in the area, and I always stay at Hilton brands when I travel for work. Hilton corporate did apologize and attempt to make the situation right. I won’t stay here again though.

I absolutely love the room layout here. They rooms are very spacious and feels like a living room rather than a hotel room. There are 2 queen beds and a couch that folds out into a 3rd a bed. The end tables have USB chargers and outlets in the front making it super easy to charge your electronics without unplugging lights. There is a nice big desk that is great to work on your laptop or just to just have a place to put things. It also has outlets and USB chargers on it. The bathroom is a little uninviting plain white like a hospital, but it meets all your needs. The workout room is the best one I have been to in a hotel. All other hotels please take notes. Not only do they have cardio 1 bike, 2 ellipticals, and 3 treadmills but they have a complete set of dumbbells up to to 50lbs. They also have a crossover machine with several attachments and a flat bench that inclines. They also have a set of medicine balls, exercise ball, and a roller. The biggest negative however was the temp of the workout room was 77. Much to hot. The pool was good, but the chlorine was a little high. Just walking in my eyes started to hurt. The breakfast was on par with any Continental breakfast you would find.

Congratulations, this is the worst Hampton Inn. As a Hilton Honors member, I've stayed at probably 50 of them and this is by far the dirtiest and dysfunctional. Hilton should be ashamed of this one. Believe the reviews--from outlets that are falling out of the wall, to mold in the bathrooms, to dirty tubs, odd yellow "stains" behind the toilets, water marks all over the ceiling, to the most unfriendly attendants, this one wins the award for the worst. The showerhead was also HORRIBLE with awful water pressure. This hotel needs to be investigated by Hilton. This is NOT ON PAR with Hilton brands!! They also lost my daughter's teddy bear and really didn't care. Great job, guys!

Just stay away this hotel. I would give negative 5 stars if I could. My wife and I stayed there for one night a bout week ago and all the experience was unpleasant. When we arrived at the hotel, no one was at the front desk, a girl, looking like a college student, seemed too focused on her laptop with her home work in the dining room. The room we checked into had several issues, the smoke detector was broken, wrapped up with a plastic bag, the microwave was not working, the power jack and USB on the night stand were not working either. After we talked to the front desk, we moved to another room that is a suite room with a door connecting to the next room. So the noise from the next room was almost in our room. In addition, the vent fan in the bathroom was not working at all. Although the hot coffee and hot ware is said to be offered 24 hours a day, they were always cold, not drinkable. The complaint was ignored and no one bothered to refresh the coffee and water. But this is not the worst. Although we made full payment for the night stay when we made reservation through 3rd party, I found I was billed another time for the full price plus 15% deposit shortly after we checked in. After I talked to the girl at the front desk, she began to fix the error, only to find I was billed another time, basically we were triple billed. She needed manager's authorization to reverse the charges but no management staff was on the site, and was not sure when to come the next day. In the whole process, the girl never said sorry even once. The lady on next shift was nice said sorry a couple of times but she could not solve the issue. We could not wait until the manager came and had to leave the next day morning. We took a business card of the general manager with us, hoping to ask him resolve the issue over the phone or via email. I later called the manager but no one answered my call, I left a message, and then sent an email. But he never responded. I had to file an complaint with the customer support on the Hilton website. Several days after the complaint, the manager emailed me, saying the charges were in pending status, sounding like this is the normal process, and nothing wrong with them. He never said sorry even once. Finally the two charges were reversed, but honestly, I have had no worse experience than...

I found my stay very dissatisfying. When traveling I often choose Hampton Inn as I find it a good value. Upon our arrival, Saturday February 12th, at the Hampton Inn Ann Arbor West we approached the front desk and waited for the person on duty to recognize us. She was sorting the mail and after a minute or two indicated that someone would be right with us. Silly me as I thought that someone at the Front Desk would be able to help us but not her. After several more minutes another employee came out of the office area to check us in. At no time did the original employee attempt to get the attention or notify any employee of our presence.

After check in the clerk indicated that we needed to insert our key card into a card ready near the door to turn on the lights. She did NOT indicate that we needed to leave the key card in place for the lights to remain working. Nor did she indicate that the heat would default back to 65 when we removed the card. Needless to say when we arrived back at approximately midnight the room was quite chilly.

And finally, while I realize that you are a hotel and not restaurant, the services at breakfast was quite abysmal. We arrived at breakfast at 9:20 and found several of the serving areas depleted. While there was an employee on duty he in no way or manner was working at any type of speed that one would consider adequate. In fact he looked rather depressed with his current work situation.

I will say that the room was clean and in good order...

A five star experience at a 2 star Hotel.

Update June 19, 2019. Another great stay. Emiy and Cody made us feel like returning friends. Raya, Rashida, and Collin did a great job of keeping the place clean and providing a friendly atmosphere! My only request is that the hot tub would get a little hotter and there were more dresser space to put clothes.

This is one of the best properties I have stayed at. The staff is amazing, friendly, attentive, and professional. Ariana, Brian, Sadie, Miranda, and Kate really went the extra mile. They were swamped all day every day but still made time to make us feel at home. There was a major convention in town but I still felt like a returning friend every time I walked in. They greeted me and my family every time we came in, some even greeted us by our names! The breakfast was good every day, the pool was clean and beautiful, well maintained. Our room was HUGE, well furnished, fresh and clean. The bathroom was also spacious and well stocked. It is right near freeway easy access to get anywhere quickly but the windows did a great job of keeping the noise out all night. The beds are soft and supportive and the pillows are straight from heaven. The housekeeping staff does an amazing job of keeping this place looking and smelling good all the time. Located very close to a lot of local shopping, dining, and entertainment. Definitely one of the best...
