My Fiancee and I book this hotel for 2 days for the labor day weekend. It cost us 318.00, and I can tell you it definitely wasn't worth it.
First the room advertised was false. I was suppose to hold a deluxe suite which the advertisement said it partially overlooked the lake... What it over looked was the parking lot... There was no lake in sight.
The room was crappy with the ceiling peeling from water damage. The toilet ran constantly to the point that my fiancee woke me up in the early dawn to tell me she was having problems falling to sleep. I got up about 2 am to turn the water flow off thinking it would stop the noise from the toilet tank, but it still continued to make noise because now what little water was already in the tank started draining out, till there was nothing left.
I decided to take the bag out of the garbage can in the room and fill the can with water so she can use that to flush the toilet until in the morning when we turn the water pressure back on, but when I went to retrieve the garbage can it was filthy inside... It looked and smelled like someone poured chocolate milk in the can and it had been sitting there for a while. The sad thing is housekeeping knew this can was filthy because they placed a refill garbage bag inside the can, yet didn't bother to clean it out. I ended up washing out the garbage can before I could fill it with water.
The following day when I mentioned this to the staff, they said they would send someone to fix it... No one ever came, so the next night we were forced to face the same thing once more.
I also informed housekeeping before we departed for our day that we were leaving so the room could be cleaned. She said okay but nothing was done. We came back to the room being the precise way we left it, with no fresh towels. Lucky my fiancee made us take our own towels based on the reviews she had read.
Now I'm thinking since this hotel has had mixed reviews, that all of their rooms aren't bad, but if you ever get assigned to room 12, I would request a different room.
Also know if you need to iron you have to acquire the iron and ironing board from the front desk which is always locked so good luck with that unless you run into an employee outside.
When I got the board there was no legs on it so I had to lay it across the bed to iron.
The ice machine is also in the office with staff so if the doorway is locked, which it was the entire time we were there, you are unable to get to the ice machine at your leisure.
The door on this room also did not look strong. My first impression was that someone could easily kick it in.
This hotel also advertises for room service, but their room service consist of you ordering from one of the fast food menus in the room and the restaurant delivering it to your room... Hardly my idea of room service... This is ordinarily what we call ordering take out.
On our last night there I ended up having to call the cops on some guest that were talking loud outside and woke me up. I came out and asked them nicely to keep it down, but when the noise continued then I phoned the cops. It was only then that I was eventually able to get some sleep.
It also seemed like all of the staff live on the property so you would reckon that would mean that you would get better service, but not so.
For all the money we spent on this hotel I think the owner should use it to upgrade the facility. It was in dire need.
Some of the positives I would say about the hotel is that the rooms are a decent size, the closets are really big, the shower is excellent... great temperature and water pressure, ample amount of parking, and they do offer an array of items in their complementary breakfast.
Hopefully from this review you will be able to reach an...
Read moreHello my husband and I stayed here……. First and foremost they have a daily fee housekeeping. But NO housekeeper! It’s a man that clean the rooms and he doesn’t even do it right. The towels were wet as if someone used them right before I got into the room, it was only two little bath mat towels, not a wash clothes in sight. When asked for a few we was told that we had to give the (dirty ones back) and that literally took two days. My daughter had an accident on the bed,so I asked for some clean sheets( now keep in mind this is like day 4)..the manager told me to hold on as he got in his car and drove off!! Smh he didn’t return until late that night. The next morning I hear loud banging on the door to the room next to ours (from the same guy who didn’t give me my linen)…he starts yelling and screaming at the customer that he was in the wrong room and he has to either go into a smaller room or check out! As he’s yelling at this man and being highly disrespectful he threatens him with the cops, now keep in mind this man has his 3yr son who was sick at the time. He makes him wait outside in the cold because the room he wanted the dad&son to go to wasn’t clean smh. And no I still haven’t gotten any sheets or clean towels and wash rags k had to sleep in the dirty sheets for the duration of my stay! And then they want to charge dam near 7hundred something dollars for a week stay listen they are rude and disrespectful and then they come knocking on your door at 8 in the morning to tell you check out is at 11am ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO THERE THEY DONT LIKE BLACKS THEY ARE PREJUDICE AGAINST AMERICAN PEOPLE ESPECIALLY WOMAN NO REGARD FOR CHILDREN… do not stay at this place, and if you do bring your linens cause you dam sure not getting...
Read moreMy room was dirty upon check-in. We checked in at 3 pm, the room was not cleaned, the bed, towels, and wash cloths were as the last guests left them, to include an imprint of someone's body in the bed and overflowing trash can. When I complained, the check-in guy insisted that the room was clean, and that he had just checked it, despite everything I had just said to him. He said that he would send the maid to finish the room, so we decided to give him some time, while we drive around and check out Atlantic City. We returned just after 6 PM, room was the same. Wash cloths still wet/ used. We complained again, to the same guy, who didnt seem to care, so we asked for another room. He told us that they were sold out, even tho the parking lot was pretty empty. We were stuck in the office for quite some time, as others complained, unhappy. It took another manager passing by to take the time to ask us about our issue, and we brought him to our dirty room. He finally sent the maid to fix the room, and we were finally able to get into the room with our things at almost 7:30, tired, unsatisfied, and unrested. We really wanted to rest up, so we could enjoy the beer & music festival, but because of these delays, that didn't happen. The festival was from 6-10 PM, but we couldn't enjoy it, because we were tired and wasted so much time without a useable hotel room. On top of that, we got no additional hours added on to our checkout time, after 4 of our hours were wasted. Negative 4...
