As a visitor to Augusta GA, this was my first stop, and quickly became a daily stop throughout my vacation. The atmosphere was welcoming. Every time I ate here, I was quickly seated with order taken and food presented with a swiftness one could only dream of. The servers sincerely cared about giving me an amazing dining experience and gave me recommendations of things to try from their large menu selection. The cooks created authentic and flavorful cuisine that kept me coming back for more. The Guacamole, Chorizo dip, Texas Rice, and Mexican street tacos are some of my favorite dishes from this restaurant and I am looking forward to trying and falling in love with even more! The combination of margaritas and music playing at the restaurant made me want to get up and dance. I look forward to being able to come back on a Saturday night and dance my heart out when they have a DJ and open dance floor. One night I met the owners and they are genuine people who had a dream of opening this restaurant and through their passion and drive, made it a reality. Their care for this restaurant is evident and contagious to the hosts, serves, and cooks. It is clear that everyone here works very hard to make this place the hidden treasure that it is! All of my needs and wants were met at Lokos Tacos on Boy Scout Rd!

Lokos Tacos on Washington Road was already a favorite. But when Lupita, the owner, told us she and her husband, Miguel, were opening a 2nd location on Boy Scout Rd, we could hardly wait. It just happens to be a little closer to home, but the real reason we were anxious for it to open is a combination: the food, the drinks, the servers, the ambiance, the owners ... and more! We always enjoy the complimentary soup. The chips are always fresh, and the salsa tasty. The margaritas - oh my its hard to stop at one! We love the tacos, the fajitas, and the Caldo de Polo (chicken soup) with a big ole drumstick! The original location is still open. This new location is larger, has a great indoor bar, and a spacious outdoor deck now. Never had a bad meal. Service is always great. Brenda is good, as are several others, but we especially LOVE ROLANDO! The owners are a hard working family, including their 2 sons, Brandon and Diego. Ignore any bad reviews because the writer must be a negative person. Instead, give Lokos Tacos a try. You will not be disappointed!

Our family has been going to Lokos since they first opened on Washington Rd. Over a year and counting we have been regulars! We immediately fell in love with the most authentic and genuine Lupita and her family, and their staff, matching their authentic culture and food. We were so excited to hear they had expanded to Boy Scout Rd and have been going ever since! Their colorful, vibrant, and modern aesthetic along with keeping true to their original decor at their home location is unmatched. From the hand painted murals, to the fun lighting, and mariachi nights! Lokos is ready to welcome every single person that walks in! This place is a true gem here in Augusta and we couldn't love them more!šŸ’ƒšŸ¼šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»šŸŽ‰

If I could post without giving a star, I would. My family and I went here yesterday to celebrate my birthday. It was a last minute decision due to another place being overly crowded with a long wait time. We had a party of 16 people. We were seated immediately when we entered the door. Only a handful of people were dining. But my party was at this place for over 3 hours. Our waitress was handling our party and other tables. She wasn't very attentive at all. Not one person in my party received refills on their drink. The waitress kept bringing out food that didn't belong to anyone within my party. The food we ordered was disgusting. It was very bland from other seasonings but loaded with SALT. Even our margaritas were salty. We ordered other items after sending back the salty food. But the new orders were salty as well and very bland. They ended up having to remove items off of our tickets. The only thing they have that's good is the chips and salsa. I've never experienced nothing like this before. They only had two cooks. We waited over an hour just to get our tickets, so we just walked to the register to pay. This was definitely a first and last time dining here. I do not recommend this...

So basically it was my first time coming here and I will say that the servers was nice like everyone was nice and the atmosphere here was also nice and comfortable buttttttt I ordered the nachos and um.....very sad becuase it only came with meat and cheese but that's not the only sad part ...the sad part about it was that it was all oil from the meat I'm not even over exaggerating sadly when I say that the cheese wasn't even visible I wanted to like this place soooooo baddddd and I tried it giving the benefit of the doubt but it tasted like straight up oil sadly......the oil was literally dripping off the plate when the server served it to me and now my skin will be screaming in acne by tomorrow but cuz of all that oil but I will say that the queso and salsa was amazing I haven't tasted this kind of amazing queso since I been to Texas and the salsa was also top notch they know what there doing with the queso and salsa for sure but that will be the only reason I come back and if I can figure out how to leave an image of the nachos I will all the yellow stuff was just straight up oil but...yeah dont get the nachos if you know what's...
