Fantastic bed n breakfast located in the historic district of Augusta Ga. Just a block away from Woodrow Wilson’s childhood home. Enjoyed the River walk and memorial and loved the Morris museum of art. The bed n breakfast is a Queene Anne Style home with beautiful simply beautiful wooden stair case. Each bedroom has its own unique charm. Val the owner was pleasant and we had time to ourselves to enjoy the house. Great local food. Plan to return. Outstanding. There is a local college.

I don't like to give bad reviews but I believe I'm being fair when I say that our stay here was quite disappointing. ||We made a reservation through hotels.com several weeks in advance. Guests must be aware that running the inn is a part-time job for the owner.||We arrived to find nobody there and the place locked. It was about 3:30pm, well within the usual check in time. There was a sign at the entrance with a phone number on it so I called. All I got was a voicemail, so I left a message saying we're at the inn and asking to be called back immediately. Nothing happened. We went back to our car, which was parked at the back in the parking area and waited about half an hour but nobody called. Just as we were about to give up and leave two young women came out of the side door of the house. I asked them if they were guests at the inn and they said no, they're the daughters of the owner. I explained our situation to them and they were very apologetic but didn't seem too surprised. They told us their mom is a teacher and she's probably still at work and they tried to find her on the phone. They finally reached their dad and were able to let us into the inn and show us where our room is. They were very sweet and kind but didn't know know much about the running of the inn. They said their mom will call us.||Our room and the house were nice but we were the only guests there and it was clear that the owner had forgotten that we were coming. ||She did call us after a while and apologized and explained how busy she is at work. Frankly, that seemed like a poor excuse but she said that she'll come by in the morning to bring us breakfast. She asked if 7:30 am was ok and I said that's too early so she said she'll leave the food in the upstairs kitchen for us and we can stay as long as we want the next day.||She apparently came very early the next morning, on her way to work, and dropped off some food. We found some donuts, some cereal, a couple of bananas and some juice, milk and cream cheese in the fridge but no bagels or bread or other fruit, as she had promised. She did phone later to say she was sorry she forgot the bagels.||We've done a fair bit of traveling and we've never had a situation where the innkeeper forgets that there are guests coming and forgets to provide the promised breakfast.||Maybe on weekends the service is ok but I would not recommend staying here on...

After traveling 9 hours by car we arrived at the Queen Anne Inn. Our first impression wasn't good with a front lawn littered with plates and bowls of cat food for strays and a walkway in disrepair, but we decided to really give it a chance because the house had some real charm and character. The owner Valerie was nice and punctual but that's about all that was nice about the inn. Unfortunately the inn was disgustingly dirty. All we wanted was a hot bath/shower and we both opted out of it. The tub area was filled with mold and grime nothing some good old fashioned scrubbing with tilex would fix. The shower curtain was just a liner that was pink with mold. The toilet seat was cracked and dirty. The sitting area living room had dust dirt everywhere it hadn't been cleaned in years. The white lace curtains where actually black in color. The canopy over our bed was just a catch all for dead bugs. It was late we were exhausted we slept with no covers and in our clothes. We were offered on arrival a shot of port wine with was in a dirty decanter and was offered in dirty glasses. The mini fridge was filthy and did not make ice but we were offered a ice bucket that was filled with dead bugs. Breakfast choices were a bag of bagels in the fridge with opened cream cheese or thankfully $20 vouchers at a local clean deli . The photos on tripadvisor are lies there is no pool it's photoshopped in somehow. There wasn't one area of inn that was clean from the door knobs to the ceilings in years. Sad thing is that with a lot of elbow grease and pride this could be...
