I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10, the only points off are that it took quite a while to get my food, some people who got there before me seemed to be a little impatient that their to go orders were taking longer than expected (they do have a sign thay says if you are in a hurry for your food you're in the wrong place). Its a typical bar type scene, maybe a little rough around the edges for more genteel folks, maybe not a good place for a 1st date😁. The food was good, better than I expected. The burger all the way had great flavor, a big thick patty. The only complaint I would have food wise is mostly my fault. I guess I should have said medium, because my burger was cooked well done, which takes a some of the juicyness out, but the waitress didn't ask. The fries are your standard frozen crinkle fries, but they were cooked like they were supposed to be, not greasy, floppy or hard and overdone. Overall I think if you have the time and want a great burger that will fill you up for a good price and don't mind the ambience to be a little rough around the edges, this place is a downtown Augusta institution that is a bit of a locals only secret. It's busy even at 2 pm on a weekday, for good reason, even...

While I have to admit the burger was really good, I have never waited an hour for 3 burger baskets at a moderate level of busy. We had to ask about our food after the 50 minute mark, the waitress wentand made it herself and came back to the table to tell us it had been ready and was sitting on the grill. She gave us the smallest amount of fries (maybe 5 full French fries in each basket) and told us she would bring more, she brought us one only partial full basket between 3 meals this would still not add up. The food might not have been that big a deal if it was all fresh and we hadn’t been waiting for an hour but with no compensation on the meal whatsoever the entire experience was not good.

Edited to add: After reading other reviews after posting my original review I will say the burger is good but it is in no way worth the wait you will have. Similar tasting burgers can be found at faster restaurants nearby.

My response to owner comment: I think I speak for most when I say we would rather you fix the issues that exist instead of trying to placate a situation. We appreciate the offer now but it feels a little too late to offer that when we do not intend to come back after such...

It was ok . We had a Great waitress she was on top of things.

The problem I had was with the cook. She dropped my cheeseburger patty & had to re-cook it.

It seemed like it took forever. But then the waitress came up & explained to us that they have an older style grill & you can only fit like 4 Patty's on it or something like that.

Finally The lady behind the counter with the orange apron brings me my burger basket with no fries.

I said where's the fries they then bring me the fries. By the time I got my food my husband & daughter had finished eating.

I had to put mine in a to go plate bc we had been up since 2:30 ish & we was tried. We still had to drive about an hour to get home.

The waitress Tiffany I think her name was she had long hair pulled back in a ponytail anyway she was Awesome.

Bc of it taking us so long for me to get my burger & fries she didn't charge us for mine or our 3 sweet teas.

Now I give 5 stars for the food bc the burgers were nice & thick burgers. My daughter's onion rings were delicious

But the cook well that was crazy & we understand accidents happen.

But if you're looking for a thick burger & to die for Onion Rings well this is the...

I’m in town for a work trip and spent the afternoon downtown in Augusta and worked up a mean appetite. When talking to locals everyone said I’d have to grab a burger from here so I listened! Walking into the place you get a nice hole in the wall/dive bar restaurant vibe and it is just so right. There’s a jukebox to play some tunes while you sit down to enjoy the ice cold draft beer to accompany your food. Their ā€œworld famous cheese burgerā€ in fact lived up to its reputation. I recommend the ā€œall the wayā€ add on to your cheese burger as it really makes the flavor pop. They use a flat grill and it’s right behind the bar so your mouth can water while you wait for this slow cooked food to come out to your table or bar stool. The burger was cooked thoroughly to perfection and I had their onion rings instead of the fries. The cook was a young man, named Aiden, that you could tell cared about his work and engaged with me the entire time. Great experience all around for me, and I recommend anyone in the area to make time to visit here for atleast a beer and a bite to eat with a side of side bar chat with Aiden.

The food was really great. It's an honest hand formed hamburger patty probably an 80-20 mix and tastes like Chuck. They take the time cooking it nice and slow on a flat top and they grill the onions in the hamburger fat. The whole thing comes together on a great little bun that makes it just big enough to be able to manage it. I highly recommend the onion rings and the fries are okay. The fries could bra use a little extra seasoning and they just felt a little dry. But the onion rings, we're awesome. My biggest negative is it's cash only and the bar is humbly stocked. Great little authentic Hangout in downtown Augusta where the atmosphere is a wee bit more colorful! Definitely worth trying.
