Its a adequate pedestrian bridge with a few basic, park amenities. (but no bathroom) The North Augusta side parking is too sketchy for my Mom to go there alone. Also, its a real shame that in a time of understanding and honesty about our country’s and Southern history that the namesake of the bridge hasn’t been removed or at least explained in an honest way. This bronze plaque “welcomes” every person who enters through North Augusta.

It's a nice painted bridge and also has nice decorations on it with giant plant vessels. The kids' play zones including the musical instruments make it a fun place. This bridge actually connected Augusta, GA and North Augusta, SC. The Augusta downtown is observed from the bridge and the overall view of the Savannah River is really eye soothing. Anyone is recommended to visit it at daytime, even at night (sufficient lights are given).

Was so looking forward to this. Brought our Grand Kids. So a homeless guy was sleeping on a bench, all the garbages were overflowing, Plants were dying. It had a dirty feel about it. I wasn't mad. I was sad. This was 1:30 on a Sunday.

Definitely a lot of homeless people around and I was hoping to have some more historical markers that described a little bit about the old bridge and the history of the area or landmark but there was nothing like that. Good...
