Simple and to the point! This place is a joke! Me and my wife checked in and during our stay we kept getting locked out of our rooms and constantly had to get management to fix the door device, the continental breakfast is nothing more than instant frozen breakfast in a plastic bag that you will have to warm up in the microwave, The guest laundry machine and washer machine are so old and out dated that our cloths was still dirty and we spent $8.00 on the dryer for our cloths to be dry and not damp. The daily and weekly rate is ridiculous for an ordinary standard hotel room. This place is not a hotel suite with a kitchenette, walk in closet, but I see other guest posting praising and posting good comments like West Bank Inn is a 4 or 5 star hotel. We only check in for two week and just about every two days me and my wife had to ask front desk management to repair something in our room that stopped functioning. Oh and I have to mention that some of the house keepers or maids looked like people who does smoke crack and was hired off the streets by the Indians and giving a second chance at life. On the contrary there was no bed bugs, I only spotted one roach in our bed during me and my wife hotel stay, the sheets, towels and room carpet was clean. They do have security cameras and the place is really quite and non dramatic like most hotels. I gave this hotel a one star, because the rooms were clean and serviced everyday although I was missing some money and a checkbook I left inside of the dressers while me and my wife was away touring the city of Augusta . I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any one not even to my...
Read moreOkay so as far as the room goes it was fine. Besides the remote not working other than to turn the tv off ! But my concern was I went to eat the breakfast that the hotel provides and I made a plate for my husband and I. After doing so on my way to my room I was stopped by the guy at the front desk and I was told that I wasn’t allowed to eat the food in my room. I was upset because I’ve never heard of such a concept considering the fact that my husband did the same thing the day before with no problems and I’m a paying customer!! . I advised the front desk person that regulations like that should be advised to the customer prior to check in ! Either on the website, the front door, or by the receptionist at checked in so that I can make a educated decision about my stay prior to paying!!! But according to the desk clerk that’s not his job to educate his customers prior to check in because they have a sign in the food area saying that that food needs to be ate in their dinging area! Now mind you I’m 8 months pregnant and couldn’t barely move around making our plates with the small eating space they provide ! Let alone eating comfortably ! If I would have know ahead of time those were the rules I wouldn’t have booked there! So like I explained to the guy I’m not here to change your rules and unfortunately we didn’t eat and we checked out of the hotel early and took our business else where ! So if your okay not eating in your room this hotel is for you ! Consumers NEED TO EDUCATE...
Read moreI made reservations for a three night stay, for the spring of 2022, in the summer of 2021...the weekend of the Augusta National Women's Amateur and the start of Masters Week. I was seriously misled by the Tripadvisor overall rating of 4.5. First, I want to emphasize that the lady who checked me in was very friendly, as were all other staff I briefly interacted with. However, the property itself is the nastiest place I've ever stayed...and I had a job that required extensive travel for 36 years. The shower enclosure was filthy, a cleaning rag was left behind on the curtain rod, the towel rod was missing, the drapes in the room were falling off, and I had to secure them with the clamps on a hanger. When I arrived, there was a guy sprawled out on the exterior walkway smoking. Later, there was another guy on the same walkway sleeping. In addition to being dirty, the property is old, decrepit, and not maintained, and is so close to the busiest street in town that it is impossible to sleep without cranking on the air conditioner to cover up the very loud traffic noise. The blinking red message light on the phone could not be turned off (for three days) by calling "messages" because the message line was always busy. And, if you've read this far, I am ashamed to admit that I paid $839 for three nights in this place! It's very close to the golf course; I did not realize how badly I was being gouged or I would have considered staying in...
