Waffle House — Restaurant in Augusta

Usually good food & usually good service but last time I sat at the bar for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged and another 5 minutes before my order was called out (which of course was wrong) because there were about 8-10 people standing around acting like they were at a party! Don't know if they were coming or going but the waitress was more interested in them than taking orders. And what is so hard to understand about a fried egg? They always break the yolk, scramble it a little bit before pouring onto the grill. I even said I want an egg like in the picture on the menu in case the waitress & cook couldn't understand what a fried egg is but it came out like what? A circle of flat scrambled egg. Also, does anyone else know that ALL TO-GO orders get a 10% "tip" automatically added on to their order? So for all these years of ordering TO-GO I've been tipping 15% AND they're getting another 10%!!! Not once have I ever gotten an itemized check so I can make sure i'm being charged right - just a yellow ticket with a "total" but according to their math an extra order of toast is $4 - $6 and I guess I'm getting charged for coffee too even though I never ordered any!!! Padding checks & "forgetting" to mention tip is included for TO-GO orders definitely adds up to lots of extra tips for them!!! All of this most likely happens at every Waffle House because it has happened to me at every one I've been to. P.S. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TO-GO ORDERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE BECAUSE THEY WILL MESS SOMETHING UP OR LEAVE SOMETHING OUT!!! AND ADD UP YOUR TOTAL BEFORE THE CHECK COMES TO MAKE SURE YOU AREN'T BEING...

I love Waffle House and it was a treat for me to go out for breakfast this morning as I have NOT eaten out much since Covid 2020. Susan, waitress should have stayed home today as her bad attitude was obvious to the customers. I waited several minutes for her to clean a booth, she was not busy, she used a dirty wet cloth to wipe off table & seat, I had to use napkins to dry the table and seat before I could sit down. Susan ignored me for several minutes, did not ask what I wanted to drink, took another customer's order that came in several minutes after I did. She finally took my order for coffee, did not bring glass of water that I ordered, she asked what I wanted to eat but there was NO menu on the table. She finally came back ten minutes plus for my order, charged me $3.00 for three SMALL slices of tomatoe, when I asked for a coffee refill, she took my cup and was gone several more minutes. Pucci brought my food order, refilled my coffee without being asked, & brought the water. Pucci had greeted me when I arrived at Waffle House. I would have given Pucci a generous tip, however she was on the phone taking an order when I left. This was the only bad experience that I have ever had at a Waffle House. I will not return to this location because of Susan's unprofessional attitude. Very unhappy arrived at 4:50am was told it would be about 10 mins I spoke very clearly when placing my order. Waited around for about 20 mins for food and I understand sometimes times are not accurate in the food industry. Was told I had to wait more time on the waffle again I understand. When got food the order was completely wrong and had chili all over the food which I did not order. The bacon was burnt black, I usually don’t write reviews but this was after me working a long night and was hungry and very disappointed in this establishment.
