ariived and checked in, although lady at front office is all tattood, she is nice and helpfull. After i checked in, im walking to my room, a crazy looking guy comes out of a corner and stops to stare at me while im walking to my room, all he says is wasup and watches me pass in front of him. (He was very shady)......I get to my Room and at first impression looks ok...i get to bed and find a hole, its possibly cigarrett burn on the bed sheets (see pic). I tried to adjust airconditioner and noticed it had holes (see pic). I tried to go to bed but sheets are old and unconfertable so i recommend you bring youre own linen. In the morning i get up to take a shower and notice roaches walking next to me...i went in shower and when i came out noticed the towels had body hair on them (disgusting), i will leave it up to you to decide what the hair looks like (see pic). As im coming out of the restroom someone knocks on my door and a mans voice says hello, he knocks again and then a third time but on the third time he says hello im comming in..i put on my cloth and ran to the door. I opened it and the guy tells mr. That he is from the motel a bed he is there to service the air conditioner, i tell him that i didn't call for service, he said that he has keys for all the rooms and he needs to come in to service the AC, itell him check out is at 11am and he should do it then, he says No he had to do it right now because he had to finish by certain time.i denied him access and he just stood outside my window. I called the front desk and told them about the guy, they confirmed that he had permission to go in the rooms, are you serious? I asked the front desk lady. She explained that the company servicing the ACsystem is from out of the area and they have to finish by a certain time, I asked her, what if iwould have stepped out of my room and left my personal belongings there? What if I discover something missing later? She tells me that the guys dont steal. Then i asked her why wasnt there a sign at the front desk warning us about the service? Why wasnt a notice posted in our room? She said...did the person knock on the door? I answered yes, and she said ...sir that knock was you're notice !!!...im like are you serious?????? I hung up phone, and as im changing to get out of that motel another bug is hanging on the wall, it looks like a black cricket..i had enough i got my stuff and left that motel. Very dissapointel with this place , i should have read the other reviews before coming here. Management.... you should not allow you're workers to enter the rooms without the consent...
Read moreI've been in Austin, TX, for over 29 years, and I have seen the best and worst. Take this Motel 6, for example. My first stay was memorable because it was brand new, my eldest brother had made it to State in Track and so the entire family made the trip up from Corpus Christi. Since then, I've stayed there around 35 times, give or take. It saw it's decline in the late 90s and early 2000s, then around 2016 it came back. New lights, cameras, and a great management team. Things seemed to be looking up at this place... until my last couple of visits.
My most recent visit on May 24, 2024, was the last straw. At check-in, the staff was extremely rude, particularly the lady behind the counter who seemed annoyed by having to do her job. She gave me an unnecessary lecture about my room type not matching my past reservation, which was baffling. When I asked for clarification so as to not repeat the same mistake she grew more agitated so I decided it best to retreat to my room.
Once in my room, I discovered the shower drain was clogged. I removed the cover and pulled out a disgusting mess of hair and trash. With none of the phones in the hotel working, I had to go downstairs to report it. The same woman was at the front desk and she proceeded to yell at me, saying I shouldn't have touched the drain and that they wouldn't be liable for any injuries. Instead of addressing the issue, she berated me for trying to help. Hell, she didn't even apologize.
I asked to switch rooms, but she claimed they were booked solid, which was an obvious lie given the nearly empty parking lot. When I asked for a discount, she laughed in my face and assured me maintenance would come soon. After two hours, no one showed up. I went downstairs again and was told maintenance and a maid would be sent up. It took well over another hour before anyone arrived. My initial complaint was made around 1:30 pm, and the problem wasn't resolved until after 5 pm.
The lady at the front desk not only lied about the availability of rooms but also falsely claimed I asked for a refund when I had simply requested to move rooms. Her dismissive and dishonest behavior was infuriating. The identical room next to mine remained unoccupied the entire time, proving her excuse was a fabrication.
The new staff at this hotel is atrocious, and the management is even worse. I strongly urge you to consider other hotels and motels in the area if you value decent service...
Read moreHorrible service! Please read below if you have the time. I sure wish I could have remembered their names.
We heard a know around 8 pm Sunday night. There was a woman and a security guard at the door. I opened the door and was being asked for my receipt to the room which i had purchased for and paid with my american express as well as my identification. We were told that they had no knowledge of us staying in that room. I complied nicely, and gave them my ID. I also searched for the receipt, but I could not find it anywhere. The security guard even "suggested" that he would kick us out of our room if we did not have our receipt. I told him I had an email receipt but he told me a paper copy was needed. i also told them that there is a paper downstairs where I signed for the room. But they told me they had not found it or seen it. I decided to check my car, and by this point I was rather frustrated with both of them. Lo and behold, I found it!
As I walk into the office, I see right there on the table a similar paper. It was the paper that I had signed for which had all of my card information as well as mine! The one I had signed perhaps two hours prior. The woman then begins to say,"well I see that you only paid for two persons, but there are 4 of you. But we will let that go. No worries." And then I pointed to the receipt which they had the whole time and said, "well I paid for four persons. It says it right there." And I pointed to said paper. Now they seem to put on nicer faces, saying "you should have had the paper" And that, "nothing would have happened if you had the receipt on hand." This was rather infuriating, as they both did not even try to apologize for interrupting us and causing us to stress over the rather simple mistake an employee made.
I think further evaluation is required of that woman who worked in that night shift. Also I do think someone must ask that security man what "river dancing" is and weather he is allowed to say such things because I am under the impression he did not mean well by that.
On a more positive note, the motel 6 in Dallas I went to the night before was more positive in...
