I booked (and prepaid) a SMOKE FREE queen bed room using Priceline. I went to check in, they claimed the room I booked was smoking, double beds and was not prepaid. I showed email confirmation proof... yet they continued to argue (clerk plus manager/owner?). After waiting awhile I was eventually given keys to a room (allegedly non-smoking) and no apology. The room had no lamps, smoke detector was off the ceiling and in a drawer... there were large patches of paint missing on painted shower tiles, the room phone was out of order, the undermount sink was falling off, the AC thermostat didn't work - air stayed on full blast all night. I complained about the whole situation to Wyndham and was offered some reward points (which would be good for about 1/4th of a room night). They asked for my rewards number... I told them I don't have a reward account and I haven't heard from them again. However... they sent my complaint directly to this Super 8 Canton and I received an email from their staff telling me not to book on third party sites... ??? If they don't want to honor reservations through Priceline or other third party sites, then they should withdraw from using those services. All in all a horrible experience. Wyndham has so far always disappointed me, and I regret the decision to book this room. Free breakfast? Was dried oatmeal and cereal. I didn't see anything such as fresh pastries or...
Read moreDon’t let the pictures fool you. There is NO pool and the rooms do not look like the pics. This used to be Super 8 and got rebranded to Red Roof Inn. We thought we were getting a good deal for trade days weekend and did not get what we “paid for”.
Newer flooring in the room but it didn’t look like it was recently cleaned. The bathroom was hideous. The floor looked like it has never been cleaned and we used our towels to make walking paths.
Paint in the bathroom was laughable. Everything was painted over and peeling.
The bed was clean and comfortable but be careful of the bed frame. Shin buster.
AC was working and kept the room cold.
It’s really hard to say anything else nice because the disgusting state of the bathroom canceled out the two good things. Do not recommend this place and we...
Read moreyes, we went to Canton, TX for the trades days, March 2 through 4th. The hotel needs a LOT of work. Our room was on the ground floor. The bathroom door was shattered on the back side, the dry wall had a hole in it about the size of a coke bottle. Some of the people traveling with us had cigarette smell in their room and complained were able to recoup some of their money. We took spray for the rooms, glad we did. BUT we won't be going back there, I can assure you. There is a hotel near us recently bought by Wyndham on Toledo Bend Lake, charges $169.00 but the charge at the hotel in Canton was exorbitant for the condition that the rooms were in (we were four couples...
