Whataburger — Restaurant in Canton

I was leaving Tyler Tx heading back to Plano Tx,. I stopped at Sonic and ordered from the drive threw. When I got to te window to pay, I found out I didn't h. ve my debt card nor cash. I do have Samsung pay on my phone but they couldn't use that. I had to knowmynumber and expiration date. I don't have them memorized so I couldn't pay for the food I ordered. Embarrassed as I was, I had to leave. As I was driving through Canton Tx, off of I20 I stopped at the Whataburger hungry and I knew I was able to use my phone to pay. I ordered my food. As I was try to scan my phone to pay the machine wasn't working properly. Once again I was embarrassed because I couldn't pay for my meal and was just going to leave. I'm sorry I didn't get the manager's name but I'm Very Grateful and Appreciative to him. He is a very Nice, Understanding and seems to be a genuinely decent human being and to me that's rare these days. Unexpectedly I was able to leave there with my order without having to pay. To the manager that was there on 2-5-20 around 10:45-11:00 am in Canton Tx, Thank You Very Much!!! I always go to this Whataburger in Canton Texas on I-20 and always have excellent service and the food is always top notch" however this time it was almost like a scene in the movie with Michael Douglas FALLING DOWN " where he walks into the fast food burger joint, sees a Nice Big fluffy Burger on the menu and when he gets his order a FLAT PATHETIC looking EXCUSE for a Burger 😑 , definitely not the usual high quality and standards of this particular Whataburger 😔 I did voice my concerns to the manager and told him whoever made this burger needs to go back to hamburger making School 😑 however he promptly took care of it"👍 and he made the burger himself to the normal High Standards I'm used to with this" particular Whataburger and yes this one look like the pictures on the menu.👍 I am a local business owner myself , and understand the importance of maintaining high quality and standards, I'm located just down I20 from this establishment so I'm here Often. On a positive note,The management has always" been helpful and the staff usually well-trained, but what can you do with teenagers LOL. Thank you for taking care of me and always making my experience there a good one...

Rant: So took family to whataburger here in canton lastnight and due to shortage of truck drivers they were out of fries...ok Young lady behind counter said they were going to substitute onion rings instead but could not do it on the kids meal, could only get apple slices for haley..ok healthy Well the young lady failed to mention the upcharge for the onion rings and on the menu the med fry is $2.02 and a medium onion ring is $3.17 a difference of $1.15 . Well my meal the #4 on the menu is $9.70 w/ medium drink and fries but due to the upcharge with onion rings ( out of stock on fries) was $11.19. For a difference of $1.49. So per thier menu instead of a $1.15 upcharge they charged a $1.49. Ok so not much right but also on Penny Thompson Stiefer meal and the other 20 folks in there. So they actually made great money off being out of fries...hmmmm Story thickens because remember they could not substitute rings on kids meal could only get apples. Which were brown and...
