I traveled to the area with my 18 year old daughter to do a site visit at a college she was looking to attend. I booked this hotel through a third party for one night. I booked a room with two queen size beds. When we arrived at the hotel, you pretty much could tell this was not a very good part of the City. No problem, I thought, we are only staying here one night. Had to be buzzed into the Hotel lobby (again, a sure sign that this perhaps not a good area. Once inside, it took over 30 minutes to get my keys to the room. Not because they were busy, in fact, we were the only two in the lobby, it just took that long to get checked in. Once we got to our room, we walked in and noticed that the room only had one queen bed and a pull out sleeper sofa. I immediately called the front desk and told them that this was not the room I had reserved. They told me they had no more rooms with two queen beds. I told her that if my daughter was going to have to sleep on a sleeper sofa and not a bed as I had originally booked, that I didn't think we should have to pay the full price. I asked for a 30% discount. she told me that only the manager could authorize that and she had gone home for the night. I asked her to call her manager at home and get the authorization. She said she would. I then gave her my cell phone number to call me after she had spoke to her manager. My daughter and I were hungry, so went to get some dinner. I never received a call from her. When we got back to the hotel, it was late, I was exhausted from touring the College and the quick one day travel so I was willing to suck it up and just stay the one night and be done with this hotel. We got back to the room, pulled out the sleeper sofa, and of course, there is no linen. We were able to find one pillow and one blanket inside a closet. My daughter took them and went to the sleeper sofa to get some sleep. I was about to go get settled in the one queen size bed when I heard my daughter scream. there was a clump of black hair on the blanket she had pulled out of the closet. We are both blonde, so no way this was our hair. That was it, we gathered our stuff and went to the front desk to inform them we would not be staying here. by now, the staff had changed and the gentleman at the desk, Angelo, was very apologetic and understood why we were not willing to stay. I asked for a receipt to indicate that a refund would be credited to my credit card, but unfortunately, "the computer system was currently down." I was assured my credit card would not be charged for the stay. My daughter and I went over to the Holiday Inn nearby and checked into a room with two queen beds. Three days after the date, I noticed there had not been any credit issued to my credit card, I called the hotel and was told that, since I booked it through Priceline, i would need to contact them in order to get a refund. I called Priceline and was told that the Hotel was not willing to refund the stay and that there was nothing more they could do. I have tried several times to contact Jessica Orozco, the manager at the Hotel, and every time I call, she is not available, and never returns my call. Cost me nearly 100 dollars to learn this lesson. I will never stay at any Extended Stay again, nor will I ever use Priceline again! ||Thank you Extended Stay for turning what was supposed to be a very wonderful time of my daughters life into absolutely the worst Hotel stay ever. By the way, despite the terrible experience here, she did accept the offer from the College. I guarantee she or none of her soon to be new friends in the area will...
Read moreSo I'm here from LA County on my mandatory "Peace Officer" training for the Sheriffs Department. I'm here now and so far my experience is not so good. Nowhere on the website it says that you need to ask for new sheets, towels, pots/pans. It's misleading. After 8 hours of training in 105 degree weather, the last thing you want to do is come to a dirty room and have to change your own sheets and towels. If this was the case I could have booked a air BNB. They told me that they only clean rooms for guests staying 8 days or more (after the fact). However, my stay is from 8/5 to 8/13 which equals 8 days. Also, why have a kitchen with no utensils, no pots and pans and nothing to use dishwasher? Why do I have to ask for pots and pants? It's a big inconvenience; my room looks terrible; I had to borrow a vacuum cleaner to vacuum my own carpet. I have never experienced this in a hotel ever. On another note, it's unsafe when you have people loitering in your parking lot. I came back from training and there were individuals hanging out in the parking lot near the trash can. The funny thing is that they have a security guard but just sits in his chair. What is it that needs to be done to get my room cleaned one time? I am in room 121 and if you're seeing this message it would be nice to have you have a housekeeping person clean my room at least once. As of now I am not a happy customer and I feel misleaded. I feel like you guys are understaffed and really are not customer service oriented. Honestly extended stay should be embarrassed that a guest would need to borrow a vaccum cleaner to vacuum their own room and ask for new sheets and new towels when this should be done automatically. If it's really all about covid then why even book rooms when you're not providing service? You're charging full price by giving half service. Don't use covid as a way to cut services. I paid money for 8 days and haven't once got my room cleaned. I will be waiting. Hopefully someone will make...
Read moreI attempted to stay here, made a reservation for the next day. I called the day I made a reservation to request a late check in and was told I would have to call morning of check in. I do that the next day they find my reservation, after being told the latest check in is 6pm and I would get charged for later I asked why. All of a sudden a 9pm check in can be accommodated no charge. After I finally got on the road I called to let them know I was going to be later than expected, now they can't find my reservation. Oh, no confirmation email either. I was told I have to call the hotel directly, I call selecting thr option I was provided, that wasn't the hotel either. I was driving down and they wanted me to find a reservation number as well. I let them know I'm driving can't get to it, I am the only adult in the car, asked for other options but was told to just call back or wait till I get to the hotel. Finally after multiple calls, find out they switched my arrival date and I was to check out on my date of arrival and I was still charged for a room I never used. I still don't understand how 2 people prior to that found my reservation and said late check in is allowed to now all of a sudden I am charged for a room I never stayed in. They also will not refund me, and their customer service both at the hotel and corporate level are the worst thing I have ever experienced. I get better customer service from a group of...
