My experience with El Pollo Loco left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. Despite ordering the 8 piece family meal through the app, several items were missing from my order. Most notably, my Double Chicken Tostada Salad was missing pinto beans, which is a crucial ingredient. Additionally, the Large Avocado Family Salad that came with my 8 Piece Family Feast was not included, but I didn't notice until I got home.
When I arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order, the workers informed me that they were out of the leg and thigh pieces that came with my order. They offered a refund, but I asked if I could have mixed pieces instead. Although I received the more expensive mixed pieces, I later discovered that my order was still incorrect and missing items.
It was frustrating to realize that my order was not accurate, especially since the workers seemed rushed and were already preparing to close the restaurant earlier than their posted closing time (it was 8pm, but their closing time is at 10pm). Despite going back to the restaurant to have my missing salad replaced, the dressing was also missing from my bag.
What was most concerning, however, was seeing another customer's order being mishandled. She had to remind the workers about her two drinks, which suggests that accuracy and attention to detail are not priorities at this location.

Read moreThis location has two single occupancy bathrooms. Only one of them works and the other seemingly has not in quite some time. I'm sorry, this is fundamental. This is existential. I walk into this place, I order hot food, and it turns cold before I can wash my hands. That means, this is not a restaurant. I shouldn't have to wait 10 minutes for the fat El Pollo Loco employee to get out of the bathroom just so I can eat the food paid for. Also, that employee shouldn't have to feel guilty that he's human. Every one of us needs to take a long dump here and there, but this restaurant isn't prepared for that. Whoever owns this El Pollo Loco, needs to get it together and fix the bathroom. This is not a problem that should exist. Spend the money to fix the bathroom, please!
