As I travel frequently, and exclusively stay hotels under various Marriott chain names, I can attest that all brands are not equal. However, the Marriott Residents Inn in Bellevue, Washington is exceptional. This is a recently renovated property that is decorated exquisitely. The lobby is impressive, with a large breakfast area, a bar, and business areas. The Circuit app offers free shuttles to downtown Bellevue, sponsored by the city of Bellevue. Amenities include a pool, laundry, an excercise room, and full kitchens in each room. The rooms are decorated like an upscale apartment. The free breakfast bar goes beyoud what's normally expected, even including steamed veggies, rice, and various other well- prepared breakfast options. I relied on the bar as my first meal, allowing me to skip lunch, thus saving on business expense. The staff was very inviting and hospitable, especially Ms. Barbara, whose manner and professionalism was memorable and noteworthy. She has an exceptionally pleasant spirit. Staying at the Residents Inn in Bellevue, Washington made my otherwise stressful business visit a welcoming home on the road to return to. I highly recommend staying at the Residents Inn in Bellevue. We stayed here for three nights and were very satisfied with everything. I had apprehensions because of some of the reviews, but our experience was very different. Most important for us in any hotel is that we were able to turn down the temperature and make the room cold. (Below 68). The room was comfortably updated. The appliances seemed almost brand new. It is true there are no ice makers in the hotel because each room has an ice maker in the freezer. Inconvenient when we first arrived, but it produced ice relatively quickly after turning on the ice maker and by the 2nd night there was more than we could use. There is a daily $14 parking charge. If you park in the lower level spots the entry door is right next to the elevators, much closer than going in through the lobby. There is a free shuttle to downtown Bellevue so you can avoid paying to park down there. The bathroom has a typical porcelain tub/shower (not fancy glass doors) but we did not run out of hot water and the pressure was good. The staff was friendly. When I asked for an extra blanket I was handed one at the desk, no issue at all. Excellent stay, would recommend and will stay there again.

This is a nice hotel overall. Worth the price. - Free complementary buffet breakfast every day. - A nice romper room with shuffleboard and billiards. - More than enough room in the lobby to chill out with friends or by yourself. - Rooms with a small kitchen and tables in addition to just beds - Nice workout room with good variety of equipment Keep in mind that even though it’s nicely situated by a highway so we can get around anywhere if you have a car, if you don’t have a car, you will need Uber to get around since there is nothing really walking distance from here. One big issue I had was that the room just would not cool down. The thermostat was stuck at 70° or 71° no matter what I did. I finally had to crack a window to let the cool air come in so I could sleep. All things considered, this hotel is a good value for the money 👍

Residence inn 🤔||I am giving a three star overall and one in service because the customer service sucks! ||1. The room cleaning is once every other day. That does not include a full cleaning, just your bed and new towels. My dishes were left on the sink for four days until I did them, and not only one time, two times. I called the front desk and they were very breeze telling me that they don’t do them every other day. I have stayed in other Residences Inn that are not even this expensive and they do it daily if you requested. ||Besides, who care about your bed done when you have dirty dishes making the tiny room smell funky ? ||2. My room card expired every other day and I went to tell the front desk about this issue since I was staying there for 15 days. Her answer was, “well at least we got to know you better”.Really ?? I came from work so tired to get to my room and the red light of my room comes out and have to go back to the front desk again ? What kind of customer or no customer service is this ? ||3- The internet does not work very good specially on the lower rooms. Pick the upper floor. I stayed for 15 days and I always had issues with their WiFi. I had to used my personal spot.||4- Maintenance people will come randomly knocking on the door to check my fridge and something inside my room. ||5 I asked if they had a scale at the front desk or something to weight the bags. The front desk said that she will call me back because they had one but she could not find it. After 30 minutes, I called back because they have not and she said that she could not find it and probably is at a customers’ room. I asked her if they had a log to whom they borrowed it and her answer was “ unfortunately not. We don’t have any”. For the third time I asked if she had another type of scale like a restroom scale in other rooms or anything. Finally, after I made her so many questions and got her considering, she said “there’s a scale in the gym if you would like to go” Finally an answer! ||6 - I asked if they had a lost and found for something simple o lost. The front desk said they will call me back to contact the house keeping manager. They didn’t call me back. I called twice to check on that and the front desk said that the manager did not call back, which it meant that the manager didn’t find anything. ||Very tiny kitchen and not enough pans and containers. Containers do not have lids at all. I asked for the lids of the Pyrex and the front desk said that they do no have any ? 🤷🏽‍♀️. I think it’s weird since all the Pyrex come with...

We are value travelers and look for the lowest cost lodging relative to the amenities or room type we need. We like extended stay hotels, even if we are only staying a night or two, because of the extra room, and the separation of the bedroom from the living area. We also like to have access to a kitchen for the use of a dishwasher and for light meal prep. Residence Inn are one of a number of brands of extended stay hotels we frequently lean toward. This property in Bellevue was a good value and in a decent location. It is not centrally located in Bellevue's downtown, but not all that far with a quick drive or possibly a bike ride (during our stay there were 4 dockless Lime e-bikes on or near the property, so it was reasonable that you could bike to downtown Bellevue with ease). The room was very typical Residence Inn; so much so that it was almost identical in color, fabric, and lighting to a Residence Inn I stayed at a couple months back in Portland. The bed and bedroom were very clean, along with the bathroom. Residence Inn has moved to dispensers for shower toiletries; which is just fine if the bottles are full. However we discovered that shampoo and conditioner were either empty or the pumps were broken. Leaving us with only shower gel. It is pretty hard to let the front desk know you are out when you are wet and in the shower, so we made do with what was there and hoped that housekeeping would address this for the next guest. For the first time ever at a Marriott property we found special requests made in the app fulfilled when we arrived at our room. Also referencing app usage, we did an app check-in for our stay, but I'm not sure how that helped us or made checking in faster or easier because we still had to visit the front desk and get key cards. The morning breakfast would fill the void, but wasn't all that impressive. They were out of 2% milk and only had non-fat. Fruit selection consisted of mountains of honeydew and cantaloupe, and nothing else. Lots and lots of eggs, I mean mountains of eggs, what appeared to be scrambled egg whites and scrambled eggs. On the meat side, that was tremendously disappointing, they had sausage, but it was chicken and turkey. I tried both and neither was any good. The waffle station had one maker and it was very busy. The highlight of breakfast was the chocolate chip waffle base for the waffle maker. This was a good stay, and the room was clean, but breakfast was...
