Artesia Motor Inn — Hotel in Bellflower

I carefully and thoughtfully decided to go with this and make it known as to what I perceived is worthy of reviewing. Everything here went excellent at this motel. I praise the overall experience. The price for a Friday evening was beyond good. Everything was clean and neat. Nothing that I needed was missing. The non-smoking room was actually, for the first time, a real non-smoking room, and it felt fresh. However, the 2 stars that I rated are due to the fact that upon checking out, I placed a tip for the housecleaning workers who should get the credit for the satisfying impression they gave me as I first walked into the room. Their work really welcomed me here. Everything was sharp and clean. The problem was during check out on the next morning. The office guy from the motel seemed to be entering every room that was being checked out almost immediately after customers left the property and I'm not completely clear but I felt that he was keeping the tips and not leaving the tips there for the hard working elder señoras that hustle to keep the place nice and clean. I noticed it because he entered my room twice as I sat and warmed up my car before leaving. I observed his hand tapping on his jacket pocket when he came out from the room I rented. The cleaners were unknowingly inside other checked out rooms cleaning up as he went from room to room. Forgive me. He surely was possibly just checking to see if the emptied rooms were left okay, but that didn't feel like that's what his intentions were to me. So when I backed out of my parking, I reversed my car all the way to where I could see the worker who was the nearest of the two. One was upstairs above the office, and this one was downstairs in my area way towards the end, and so I called her out from the room where she was cleaning. She kindly came to see what I needed, but it was the information that I felt that I needed to tell her about the tip. Yes, I certainly told her that I placed her tip on the lamp stand and that the gentleman probably took it for himself. She looked like she clearly understood exactly what I said to her in Spanish 💯. She must've walked at least 4 rooms over just to go and get a hold of her rightful tip. By the time she returned back outside, I had already driven off and away. I don't know what the situation was afterward, BUT PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ANY TIPS UNLESS YOU HAND IT DIRECTLY TO THE HOUSECLEANING WORKERS. I HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M SAYING. The gentleman seemed Middle Eastern, if not from India. He was a polite, slim, and slightly tall person, and he stood at the front door of the office watching me as I left. All I said through my opened window was thank you because I had no other issues at all. The place was quiet, peaceful, and cozy. Oh, and clean. I stand for honesty and integrity. I dislike seeing my beautiful people being cheated out by snake employers. All people deserve to be treated fairly and right. Please don't hesitate to stay in this motel.
