As a person that has over 10 years of customer service I find it baffling how Motel 6 treated a customer. I checked in to my premium room last month for one night with my kids and boyfriend. After leaving the next morning my boyfriend gave the room key to a worker that was walking by and we left. About a week later I received my $100 deposit back and that was that. This past Saturday I called to see if there were any premium rooms available for that day so we wouldn’t get there and everything would be booked and we were told there were rooms available great. I get there and give the guy my ID and he informs me that I was placed on the Do No Rent list and he can’t tell me why I need to call Monday morning and ask to speak to a manager who is the only person that can explain why I’m on the list and what to do to resolve it. I’m upset, confused, tired and embarrassed because there was no reason I should be on that list. We made the beds before we checked out, the trash was inside trash cans etc and we got out deposit back days after we checked out so things aren’t making sense. So today is Monday and I call the hotel around 9 and a young lady answers and I explain the situation she said there is no manager available, she can’t tell me anything call back later so I call back around 2 and the same lady answers I’m trying to explain to her the whole situation because now she is acting like she doesn’t remember talking to me earlier today and it’s as if she has me on speaker now because she asks for my name again and is repeating what I’m telling her….. after telling her that I was advised by her coworker Friday to speak to a manager today she then starts getting agitated and says that she can see who left the note to put me on the Do Not Rent list and she will not question him. I asked her what if there was a mistake, why can I not speak to a manager then she disconnects the call. I call back she doesn’t answer and the next time I call the same guy I talked to on Friday answered basically defending his coworker that whatever she told me is correct, that she doesn’t have any information and when I asked to speak to a manager he told me that there is nothing they can do, I have to call between the hours of 7 am and 1 pm and if he wants to accept a call from me he will but he can’t guarantee it. So now I’m getting frustrated but I am not being disrespectful or rude just obviously agitated and trying to get to the bottom of this because I feel like if you are denied a service how are you not able to challenge it or even know what you are accused of. He then tells me that he understands what I am trying to say and he won’t give me the general manager’s name because he doesn’t want people to have his name. At this point I am not trying to get an answer because I want to rent with Motel 6 again, we stayed at another hotel Saturday which worked out I’m just trying to get answers and find out why everyone is being so secretive about why I’m unable to rent a room with them anymore and the employees really need...
Read moreI stayed here for one night on the 14th-15th February 2025 . The “cashier” or admin lady/receptionsist working in the morning on the 15th was the sweetest she deserves a raise. As does the security guards there . However the man working on the 15th is the rudest cashier i ever met and does not have a drop of hospitality in him that mfka should be fired. I was 10 mins late for checkout rushing back from walmart after buying a extra bag for my flight later that night becaue uber kept cancelling on me . I call up to let him know please wait for me as i have a simcard wrapped up in plastic i did not want to be thrown away as its a valuable item i cannot afford to lose. He then tells me. “ we are not responsible for any missing items after checkout” “You are required to be packed and gone by 2pm” I make it there and luckily the security guards is in fromt of the lobby and he was an angel. I then am having bank problems and am on the phone in the lobby trying to resolve them. In between phonecalls i am chatting to resident’ and making friends. On the phone i am stressed and trying to communicate with my mum who is trillingual. He then threatens me and says if i am not off the property in 15 mins i am trespassing because i am being too loud and emotional on the phone. I then ask can i please book another room to repack all this stuff . He not only said no but then forced me to wait on the side of the road with all my clothes and belongings where i could have been mobbed and robbed. The security guards was trying his best to assist me but he was scared to lose his job. I asked this “cashier” for his name. Idk if he is the cashier or manager all i know is he was the one talking to me Selena isobel the girl in the green jacket on camera in the lobby on the 15th February between 14:30 and 16:00 he would not give me his name. Or a room. This is the only reason i am reluctant to return. I ended up booking a room at the Hyatt near LAX to reorganise my bags. All was well. In my books that one “cashier” He ain’t well & good.
He had no reason to make me wait on the side of the road. My second uber driver was a witness. My first one pulled up and cancelled because he heard me call back to the cashier “thanks for nothing, you got ur wish , i’m out” & he didn’t want to be involved. He could tell i was heated. As he drove off …Your employee ? the cashier/supervisor man? That Rudeman smirked. This is America huh. What a experience on my last day in the country thats all i have 2 write.
Kind Regards Selena Isobel
On a good note; I love your security guards and the female administrators/receptionist. They deserve more than just the title “cashier” . Other than the heater not working the room was beautiful/clean & perfect. My dog & i for the most part are grateful for your hospitality Motel 6. God bless you .

Read moreWhen you read this and think 'Is this a bot review? is this someone who was paid to say nice things?' the answer to both is: No. Reviews always have me on edge since you never know the legitimacy of them, but I wanted to share a Real Review for any travelers out there:
The Bellflower Motel 6 started with the friendliest service at the front desk by the kindest ladies when I first arrived late to check in (which is only an issue if you wont be in by 1am FYI). We got to our room, and the only small noticeable things were the bathroom door didn't fully latch closed (no big deal for a couple sharing a room), and one or two stray hairs on the floor (again, minor). Everything else was clean, worked, and we had a place to sleep that had latched doors, and an extra deadbolt as well.
-We reserved through the motel 6 website (BTW, signing up for their M6 Club saved us about $40, so SIGN UP if you like to SAVE MONEY) and we got their 1-Queen sized, non-smoking room, and it IS A STUDIO SIZE. There was a table, a small TV (like 24"-32", but we had my xbox so watching our own shows online wasn't a problem), one side table, and a chair. There is closet space for you to hang your own clothes, but sadly we did not get a room that had any kind of mini fridge (would have been nice but didn't ruin the experience).
We felt very safe in our space, as the Motel has security cameras all over the premises, which you can see are in working order when you check in at the front desk with their large screen showing real-time feeds of the property.
Overall, this area is actually quite nice, as you are around a LOT of stores and businesses (grocery store close by, Starbucks, winchell's donuts, auto mechanics - Goodyear - which helped us with a family vehicle, super fast service and very affordable, and lots more!) You hear the sounds of the freeway nearby, and other noise like people walking around past us, but no feeling of being exposed and no feeling of too much noise.
For the value, location, and service, this location deserves all the business they can get for a single person or even a couple traveling and needing a clean, safe place to stay. When we visit again in the spring, we will be looking forward to booking again, and maybe spoiling ourselves with their King sized bed room! This Motel 6 definitely leaves the light on for you, highly recommend you book with them on your visit to Bellflower or the surrounding area.
(also, Thank you to Daisy, who was extremely helpful and kind at the front desk, as well as the girl that helped me when we had our check in time get delayed due to traffic. ALL THE STAFF GAVE 5 STAR SERVICE, INCLUDING SECURITY AND THEIR HOUSEKEEPING. All had smiles and gave a...
