Hotel was really nice… location is amazing… The one thing I would definitely complain about though is the calendar that you make your reservations from souther mobile app.

Arrived on Friday, expecting to get into my room to then learn by looking at the calendar when I realized I didn’t have a reservation till the following day … And looking at the reservations calendar, that it doesn’t look like a normal calendar.

So the reservation I thought that I was making for Friday Saturday was actually for Saturday Sunday

So PAY ATTENTION to the dates!

It’s a timeshare, so they had to contact the timeshare company before they can actually give us the room if it was available…

Unfortunately, I had to stay somewhere else on Friday night. Because although they emailed the timeshare, it was over an hour that we ended up waiting and decided to make a reservation somewhere else.

We ended up staying on Saturday and Sunday and enjoyed the experience, but had I not had the ability to stay somewhere else after driving almost 2 hours to get there. Even though the hotel and staff were amazing those types of problems with making reservations makes me shy from wanting to make a reservation...

The resort is in a good location, right across the beach in a bay. It has a restaurant on the ground floor, which plays really loud music on Friday and Saturday nights until very late. We didn't eat there because honestly, it didn't look very "inspiring". There are other good places in Blaine, 15 minutes North of Birch Bay. The apartment was ok, in dire need of a refresher. The furniture old and beds very soft. There is no AC, just a fan, but we didn't really need it, the weather wasn't too hot. Overall pretty clean, except the bathrooms. They could have used a deep cleaning. Kitchen not a lot to offer, but sufficient to cook breakfast and light dinner/lunch. Parking lot is a little weird, half paved, half dirt. The staff is pleasant. There's not much to do in the area, we didn't stay local. There is a market not far from there, called The Market, well stocked with a lot to offer. Bellingham offers a lot of stores, a Costco, a couple of Fred Meyers, a Whole Foods, coffee shops, restaurants. I wouldn't return here unless they update the place and do something about the...

Good restaurant,130,for 4 people, rooms are spacious, amenities are good, comfortable bedding, but the one thing that got me was the fact, that at 945pm I went to work out in there minimal workout room, wich on a plaque clearly states it is open till 11,went to the provided restroom, and heard maintenance come in,I said aren't you open till 11 he said that's a old plaque and left,I get done, and try to get out of the restroom,it is locked,I bang on the door my heart is racing thinking I was locked in,I gain my composure and sit on the ground, about to have a panic Attack, and think there has to be another way out,and sure enough around the corner of the bathroom in the back there was,I was so relieved, why didn't maintenance just say,I am locking this door, use the other door around the corner?????,anyway I would have included more pictures but did not feel,I needed to because of the simple fact I do not want to glorify a place that has no regard for there clearly stated plaques, for goodness sake change them,or cover them with a simple...

My sisters and nieces visited from Colorado last week and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. There was an overbooking issue with their original reservation, and were moved to Sandcastle. The only downside was no AC in the room, it was about 79° which is pretty uncomfortable in the summer. The room was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, plenty of space for everyone. The room was clean, and the full sized kitchen was perfect for making meals. With 2 young kids, my sister appreciated the washer and dryer for laundry in unit. All of the staff were friendly and greeted us as we came to and from the hotel. The pool was fun for the kids and us adults loved relaxing in the hot tub. Great location with the bay right across the street and the restaurants along the main road. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family again in the future.

I loved this room. The front desk was friendly. It was clean. The bar next door has live music from 6 to 9pm. We didn't find it too loud and I enjoyed the music. The kitchen had all utensils and pots and pans. Also a full size real coffee pot! Surprised to find the little things like comfy robes to use. Only complaint is the blanket was a little warm for a room with no air conditioning. Town closes down early restaurants close at 8pm
