The service was not great. I ordered the kids chicken strip basket that’s supposed to come with fries, fruit cup, drink, and a treat. What I got was a box with a small amount of fries and chicken tossed on top. NO FRUIT CUP, NO DRINK, NO TREAT.

When I went back in to ask where it was they said “oh, we ran out”. They didn’t even tell me before I ordered that they were out. They were find giving me half of what I paid for. On top of that it was supposed to take 10 minutes and it ended up taking 30. I paid almost $9 for 2/5 items advertised. What the hell?

DONT GET THE GARLIC CHEESE FRIES. We upgraded our burgers to garlic cheese fries and it just looks like someone chopped and bunch of garlic an threw some cheese on the fries. Absolutely not worth it. And it’s not worth the $10 they advertise for the fries by the way.

The only redeeming quality is their fries. Which is why this is a 2/5 Star review. They have good fries. Just don’t get the garlic cheese ones. They were sad and awful.

I don’t normally write reviews online but I just could not believe the level of service for the price of the food and to be handed a box that’s been less than half of what I ordered I have to warn others.

This place is rather unassuming from the outside and, looking in, reminds you of all the dives you’ve been too. Except, they set themselves apart for a number of reasons.

First, their service is fantastic! The bartender was patient and happy to help my family and I. He knew the menu and offered up great suggestions. When the food was ready another fine gentleman ran it out to us and asked if we needed anything. Yet another guy came out and checked on us a little later as well.

The food was actually very good. The fries were perfectly breaded and cooked and had a great texture and flavor. The burgers were moist and generously topped and very flavorful. The fish and chips was a little pricey for the amount of fish you get, but it was still delicious to eat and thankfully the fries are filling. Finally, the onion rings are large and delectable. The drinks were also a good size and they weren’t watered down or too overpowering, yet generously poured.

And lastly, the location itself. Situated across the street from the beech in the sleep town of Birch Bay this spot has an amazing outdoor patio with ample seating, corn hole, a stage, umbrellas, and a great view.

Ok. So I almost never leave a review, but this experience was so bad, I feel left with no other options. This was not our first experience here, we are locals and have been here maybe 5 times prior.

Service was very slow. Orders were incorrect. Food quality was poor. Fries and tater tots were soaked in oil and not crispy at all. We waited for our server so that we could get our bill and leave and finally had to go to the bar and ask to pay our bill. Coincidentally our server was sitting at the bar drinking.

After multiple attempts by another server to run our card, the system would not connect, we had to use the ATM and pay a service charge to pay our bill.

Over hearing several comments from staff to other customers and other staff, they had run out of several menu items, including buns. Table next to us ordered chicken strips, 35 minutes after ordering, they were informed they were out of chicken strips.
