Bay Center Market — Local services in Birch Bay

Convenient groceries and more. Right at the Harborview turn coming into Birch Bay from the Birch Bay/Lynden Rd to the north side of the bay makes for an easy stop and go. Directly across the street from the shore you can grab essentials such as sunscreen, dry goods, canned goods, even some fresh produce. Small gift shop items make it a neat place to treat yourself to a Birch Bay themed tshirt, sweatshirt, jacket, etc. Small trinkets like magnets, and coffee mugs. I found some female essentials that I needed and a peach for the walk back to the Thousand Trails RV Campground...

Upon entry to the store last evening (Dec 7) the clerk advised me we needed masks. I asked if she had any and she said NO. So my husband ran back to our rental across the street and brought each of us a mask. Just minutes later another customer came in and she asked him if he had a mask. He said no and with a smile she handed him one! WTH. Rude and I might add that we spent approximately $15.00. Have to wonder what he spent. I thought I might let it it go but it is still...

Grungy, way over priced, and very, very poor customer service! They are not limiting folks in the store, and it's very crowded small store, and they are not enforcing social distancing! in fact I got dirty looks from the cashier, while I was standing in line, and a lady came very close to me, with in a ft., and shocked I ask her not to do that, the casher, Donna was rolling her eyes at me, and glaring like I did something wrong.I will never go...
