We stayed here for almost 2 months at the end of their season, fall 2020. First you should know that there is no black water sewer at any sites, but they do have a gray water dry wells plus 30/50AMP at every site, fresh water and Cable TV too. No electric meters on any sites, so the cost of electricity is included in your seasonal rate. Which works out really good compared to nearby campgrounds and certainly ones on the Cape. Very wooded sites, all are dirt and not level. They do have very clean bath houses, you will need a code to enter (this is new this year, 2020). Very responsive maintenance department too. Gated and safe for kids. Large play area and a pool (which was closed while we were there). They charge $6 per person to visit. Only one dump station (near the entrance), and it's disgusting. No hose needed, just open the valve and let the sh!t pore out onto the ground and into the sewer opening! Roads in the campground are poor, very bumpy with speed bumps everywhere! The park seems to be a very lively place on the weekends, so it makes me think it's a party place in the summer too. Having the Cape Cod Canal right there is nice too. Walking, running, biking along the whole length. Traffic in the summer season is almost impossible around the Bourne Rotary. But there are lights to get into and out of the park. The only real complaint I have is that the traffic noise in "P" section (under the Bourne Bridge) is real bad. Especially when trucks go over the bridge. They hit the transition between the bridge sections, or use their Jake Brake. Also, in "C" section, we were up against the hill, and the road noise from Route 6 was also pretty bad. But not as bad as in "P" section! Campers that are seasonal are using this park and their RV as their summer home and have everything here that they would on vacation. The sites are sometime very big, but sometimes very crowded. Most sites have a picnic table and a fire ring. Wood is for sale at the entrance. Propane is $25/30# bottle (2020). Even though this park has a lot going for it, I don’t think...
Read moreJust had the most upsetting experience. Called yesterday morning to ask about cabin rental was told 2day minimum just come in I’d be all set.spent all morning packing got down to park and was told cabin had been reserved for 4 nights by someone else. With my husband and twin 13 year old daughters sitting in car with no where to go. I asked why this was fair to leave us with no where to go when it was told to me in the morning we were all set. One of the women in the office said you can get a hotel room. They told me there was another empty cabin but it hadn’t been cleaned. I told them I didn’t mind they called manager who refused to rent cabin. Through tears I stated that we were camping because we couldn’t afford a hotel room. I made the decision to get a tent site.when we got down to the site a male employee that had been standing in the office came to the site and and asked if we’d rather go across the way to a better site he heard what was going on and felt badly he went and got a new tag for our car while we moved, Spent afternoon buying tents and settting up finally settled in. In the morning I went to office to pay for 2 nd night of site because at this point didn’t want to move everything to a cabin and had already bought tents. The women who had been rude to me the day before was there. I asked for the manager to follow up on what had happened. The manager was rude from first word told me to take. A brochure and read the rules. I asked then why was cabin booked for someone else if that’s against rules. He began yelling at me as I am standing there with tears in eyes and told me to get out they don’t need my business. I told him maybe he should get all sides of the story from the helpful man from the night before, it was obvious the rude woman had given hm an earful before I came in.I’ve been camping there for years. Now never again!!!!!!!! In years of being in a profession that deals with people never would this be acceptable. It was frightening to be yelled at like that by an intimidating man. When all that was needed was an apology for the...
Read moreI’m so insulted! We checked in a few days ago for two days. We wanted to stay an extra day so I went in during my work break to pay for another night. Fast forward to today! My bf had to take the Rv to dump at the front of the park and then ran an errand. He stopped in the office because there was a sign stating so. He went in to let him know we had a site and inquired about booking another night and was told by a very rude older woman that we couldn’t rebook because we don’t have a home base/residential address! We do and she was making an assumption based on the conversation we had with the employee and trainee from the previous booking! She said I remember you, you move from campground to campground which is quite hilarious because we just purchased our Class A RV the previous year. Mistaken identity as well as discrimination! How utterly prejudiced against people who don’t have a home base, although we do and provided that to her. I was really enjoying my time there and was hoping to become a seasonal camper! They treated us like we were squatters and we gave them our hard earned money. I guess if they think your homeless your money is no good to them! They cater to the big honchos who stay there seasonally good luck if you’re just a weekend camper! NEVER AGAIN!!! And now they have security sitting across the way, watching us!...
