The SPA at Boyne Mountain continues to employ the worst possible person working at the SPA retail and check in desk. The person is rude, argumentative and has no interest in or concept of customer service. This was an issue last year and still an issue today. This person should not be in this position interacting so rudely with clients upon arrival and upon check out. The SPA experience starts and ends with the person at the desk. The rudeness is unacceptable. Last year the behavior was on her. This year the behavior is on management for failure to address this ongoing issue. Find another position for this person. I worked in a salon and spa for 20 years. This person would have been removed from this point position by now. I am surprised the service providers have not complained. Accountability starts with the management having a clear understanding about what skills are required for salon and spa and retail customer service and expecting it from their employee. This person does not have the capacity. Apparently, management is asleep at the wheel on this one. Ridiculous! I guess it doesn't matter, people book anyway because of the amenities, not because they had a great experience...
Read moreI have always enjoyed coming here for a relaxing spa day. Today I had the worst experience. The two women working the front desk were absolutely horrible. We came in around 2:30 and immediately didn’t feel welcomed. Asked for spa passes and she said, “we close at 4.” Online it had seemed they closed at 6, but somewhere else in their site said 4. Again that’s fine, we still wanted to utilize the spa for the hour and a half they were going to be open. We said we wanted the pass then she says, “you still have to pay for the 3 hour pass.” Mind you we had 6 people with us. That’s $270 we just made the business you work for and you’re sitting here huffing and puffing that we still wanted the passes for the hour and a half you would still be open? We already knew how much the pass cost, never questioned it and she seemed almost angered that we still wanted the passes. We had waited for our other friends to arrive, on their arrival the other woman never greeted them, never asked how their day had been? Looked directly at them and in a rude tone of voice said, “it’s gonna be a minute.” Moral of the story, when people come into a business to relax, learn better customer service or...
Read moreFirst Boyne Mountain has the worst possible user experience when trying to make a purchase through their website, just think trying to solve a rubics cube to purchase the experiences you want.
With that said the spa.
You don't get a spa exclusive pool or hot tub, you get access to the hotels pool and hot tub which you already get when staying at the hotel.
From there when you book the spa day pass you can add on drinks like mimosas, but they don't come with alcohol. If you want alcohol with it, you need to go to the restaurant Everett and get it your self.
When the website says you are buying mimosas the receipt you get say your are buy to glasses of orange juice for 16 dollars FOR mimosas which you have to make yourself and bring your own alcohol.
Unless your booking additional services at the spa there is nearly nothing to do and virtually no service to be had.
Also if you pre pay and don't want to use these services you can get a refund.
Next we wanted to change the day of our spa visit, we spent 1.5 hours to get to a person who said they changed our day only to arrive at the spa and they had no record...
