If I could give zero stars I would. I had originally made arrangements to stay at this hotel at the end of March because we were looking to relocate and find a home in Florida. I booked the hotel through Hotels.com. When we checked in on Monday the hotel was dated and under construction. However, we tried to remain optimistic. After checking in, my daughter and I both began to experience a horrible skin rash, burning in the eyes, nose, and throat, and a constant itch. The chemicals used in the room were extremely strong. There was also a very strong smell of mold and mustiness, which is what I'm assuming the strong chemical smell was trying to mask. The walls and door were paper thin, we didn't feel safe. I contacted HOTELS.com because I was advised by the front desk when checking in that ANY changes in our stay with the hotel must go through them. They are the ones that would handle our booking and financial questions. So I contacted HOTELS.com and advised the agent of what we were experiencing. I requested to see if there was another hotel locally that we could possibly stay in, in exchange for the current hotel. The HOTELS.com agent advised that he would reach out to the front office to advise them of the issue and that we were canceling our stay and leaving. My daughter and I immediately vacated the premises as we could not stand the itch, rash, and burning we were experiencing. The Agent from HOTELS.com advised that they would need to speak with the Manager who was not in currently in regards to a refund. (They had taken over $100 when we checked-in in advance. Then another $700 for the remaining 6 days shortly after.) I advised the agent that I understood if the hotel needed to take 1 day as we were leaving an hour and a half after checking in, we wanted to be fair and there were more than enough rooms at this hotel so we were not taking a room from anyone. The agent advised me that it would be at least 48 hours before they could provide an answer for us, they also declined to provide another hotel or credit for us because they needed to speak with the manager. So, my daughter and I were now in our rental car trying to figure out where we would sleep and how we could get the money for another hotel. I followed up the next day around 2 pm to check and see if the hotel was contacted because I had not heard from HOTELS.com or the hotel. I was advised they had not spoken with the hotel yet but would reach out and then when they did the Manager was not present to take the call. I then called this hotel to speak with the Manager and explain what had happened and requested they would please provide me with a refund for the 5 additional days. At this point, because of the length of time, it took for HOTELS.com and the hotel itself to speak I knew I was looking at least two days' worth of money to the hotel. So I called HOTELS.com back again and requested they would please be prompt about handling this so the hotel could process my refund. After speaking with the young man at the front desk who advised me the manager was not in, but he would have her call me the next morning, i knew i would have to follow up as the hotel and HOTELS.com were now bouncing me back and forth. The Manager never called and whenever I contacted HOTELS.com they stated it was up to the Manager regarding the refund and they continued to reach out to her, but she was unavailable, when I called this hotel I was told she was not in, then by Thursday after calling multiple times for both parties, I was advised that the Manager could receive my call in one hour, so I waited the hour patiently and called and of course, she was "NOT IN TODAY." So this hotel took over $900 from us for 6 days when we didn't spend one day, the management is the worst and most unprofessional. I would steer far clear of this hotel and HOTELS.com. I am seeking out legal advice as I feel it was very wrong for them to take that much money when they knew I wasn't there more than one night. Quality Inn -...
Read moreSo let's play a game;
The good, the bad and the ugly.
Firstly, you need to understand this hotel is a low budget hotel, if you understand that you know what to expect. I was booked in for two nights.
So, the good; the room was clean and it appeared the sheets were clean and had been changed recently.
The furniture was in good shape with no obvious damage.
The bad; the receptionist spoke very poor English and she was difficult to understand.
She was also trying to do 4 different things at once and made the check-in process tedious and long.
At one point a manager (Hispanic gentlemen) walked right past reception and saw the que of 3 people waiting, he did nothing to assist anyone.
My room was on the outside block facing the traffic, I’ll get to that later.
Once in the room I tried to make a coffee and the machine was not working, I went to find assistance and the staff cleaning the rooms looked at me as if I had asked for a kidney when I asked for a replacement coffee machine. It took her 15 minutes to replace.
I looked at my bill later and noticed there was an extra $4.00 charged, they never explained what that was for.
The hotel advertised an included breakfast, when I went down for breakfast I had to go to the reception to find out where it was to which the same receptionist I checked in told me in broken English, there was "no breakfast, no breakfast, Corona virus, Corona virus." (That's the standard excuse for everything these days) they never offered any compensation for not giving a service they claimed on the website was free.
The ugly;
this hotel is obviously targeted at the low income clients.
The corridor floors had not been mopped recently, there were service doors left open blocking the corridor. Given the state of the corridors I had no desire to go to the pool area but did notice it was very small for the size of hotel this was.
The curtains are to small for the windows which means light gets in from the street lights all night.
Every day I walked past a parking lot external security door which was propped open with a small brick. I closed the door on one occasion but 20 minutes later I noticed it was propped open again.
My room faced the traffic which made it noisy at best but worse than this there were other guests shouting, laughing, and racing there cars in the parking lot until 2.30am.
All round this was a very negative hotel experience and I personally will not stay there again and I would advise anyone, unless you are seriously strapped for cash do...

I checked into this location on Thursday Feb 22nd and checked out Sunday Feb 25th, upon entering it had a nice lobby area, very bright and staff was very welcoming, especially Jamar. This hotel does have a bar/restaurant attached that stays open until midnight. The pool & patio area was nice although we didn’t have time to swim. Walking to our room, the set up is more of a motel because the door rooms are basically outside, there is a wall of windows with some exit doors but the windows don’t go to the top of the wall and have a huge space between the two.
Entering the room, it was somewhat small, we selected to have a king bed. The room wasn’t the cleanest, the tub could have been much better and there was, what appeared to be a dead insect near the toilet, the next morning it was gone so it was very much alive. We spent most of the day away from the hotel but arriving back to the room, there was a roach in the bathtub, I immediately had my husband take care of killing it but we picked all bags up from the floor. The remainder of our stay, Friday - Sunday morning, we saw more roaches and other insects in our room.
Also the walls and door might as well be ply wood, u could hear literally everything! The bar/restaurant would wheel the trash out, I could hear it every single night, it was like they were standing outside my door pushing it back and forth. The drunken patrons would be loudly talking and sometimes yelling, I barely slept the 3 nights I was there. There was ALWAYS car alarms going off at all hours of the night and if you think u will sleep in since u didn’t get any sleep the night before, think again because you can hear everything so loudly, if guest walk past your room talking, it sounds like they are in bed with you. One morning a car pulled in blowing the horn to greet housekeeping who then began to yell back and forth to one another right outside my room.
Had I seen the reviews before I booked, I would have found somewhere else to stay. This location was selected by friends who were having a wedding and this location accommodated them by providing a discount. I wouldn’t recommend this location and I will be reporting them to Florida health department! I was able to capture a roach as I was leaving my room to checkout, it’s not the best photo but another reviewer was able to capture one in their room a few months ago. Beware of this location and your belongings! Also I did not eat breakfast due to...
