Kylie, covering a work shift in Tampa last night like a champ, had me wondering. What it would be like if I were a police officer responding for help getting a call from dispatch to a real weird scene. It would probably sound like a standard B&E, which could not be further from the truth. Arriving on the scene to find where a group of folks looked like they'd been through a warzone. Some would be shaking, pale, some with terror worn on their faces. The whispers were incessant: kidnappings at the hands of a man they called Hambone—a purported serial killer plagued by a twisted relationship with his mother." 🔪🩸
It sounds like something straight out of a horror movie, it just is not a movie. It is an escape room and no, I am not an officer. However, you do need courage like an officer at certain crucial moments in the story. We stayed long after trying not to wear out our welcome talking about what we went through and the other twisted stories to play, puzzles nearly impossible to solve, and how trying to escape before "dinner" left over 80 people in a state I won't mention here to keep this "rated PG".
The place, called The Basement, is not for the faint of heart. Guests genuinely are terrified. The attention to detail is incredible to elicit that kind of reaction. If you're looking for a truly terrifying and immersive experience, this is it. This is easily one of the most memorable stories...
Read moreNot only was this place the highlight of our tour of Florida ( Orlando- Miami- Fort Myers- Tampa). My wife and I did The Basement after it was recommended to us by more than a few escape enthusiasts and it absolutely lived up to the hype and then some. I will not give any spoilers in this review but I can’t imagine anyone experiencing this and not remembering it for the rest of their life. We have literally extended our vacation in order to allow ourselves time to do every room they have to offer and will even be visiting their second facility in Bradenton. In other words “ We ain’t leavin til we do them all”. A side note and another positive experience they offered was the family run staff. Truly some of the kindest people we’ve come across and a joy to converse with. Renee is the mom and she created all these rooms/ experiences with her daughter. They have an amazing story and I’ll leave it to them to share with you when you meet them. If I could give 100 ⭐️ I would do so happily. Seriously do yourself a favor and put this stop on your list no matter what. You will return once you’ve experienced this place. You will even likely do the same room several times to enjoy watching family and friends experience it after you have. If they read this I want to say thank you for everything and please keep up the amazing work. Your new pals from Boston Danny and...

"I recently had the pleasure of trying out "The Die-ner" with a group of friends, and it was an absolute blast! From the moment we stepped into the themed room, we were fully immersed in the game. The attention to detail in the decor and puzzle design was impressive, and the storyline was engaging and clever.
The challenges were cleverly crafted, requiring teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking. We loved how each puzzle led us closer to escaping, and the sense of accomplishment when we finally broke free was exhilarating!
The game masters were friendly, helpful, and added to the excitement. We can't wait to come back and take on another room!
