had the worst experience ever. I have gone to this Indian cuisine for about two years, and never had any problems . This time was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I ordered chicken tiki masala. But then they brought out the wrong thing, took it back to the kitchen, and I literally sat there while my mom ate her food, and I never got my food. which at this point I wasn’t mad I was just very irritated. Not once did anybody check on our table. So at this point, I went to up to the counter and asked the man to get my food to go. Sat down and waited for another 25 minutes which again I was not checked on. By then, I was MAD. Went back up to the counter to ask for a refund for my food since I felt that my hunger and time was not a priority. The man tried to get me to wait just a few more minutes for my food but at this time I didn’t even want to anymore I was tired, hungry and still had a lot of things to do with now very little time. He went to the back and what I’m guessing. I said the cooks where the food was and all I could see. Was everybody running around like chickens with her head cut off. The man came back out of the kitchen and walked over to the to go orders picked up a bag and said “here it is”. I definitely turned into a little bit of a Karen and said, “are you kidding me the whole point of me taking my food to go was to eat it hot at home and you had it sitting on the side when you knew I was here, and I asked for my food to go and waited very patiently and quietly for it” his only response was “sorry”. Never asked if I needed anything didn’t offer for a comp or a discount. I will never be going back, which really hurts because I love this...
Read moreWe had been here once before and had great food and experience. Last night we were looking for a place open late after a basketball game. Arrived at 9:15 and was supposed to be open until 10:00. We were prepared to eat fast knowing it was late.
When my wife said we were a party of 7, host literally banged his hand on the desk in anger. When we sat down, he said we needed to order right away because kitchen was closing. I asked if he preferred us to leave, which I wish we had done in hindsight. He said we could stay, and we did. Did not offer us drinks until after food arrived. Brought us barely enough water for each person to have one glass. Never brought more water.
Food was very tasty. But we had no plates. Host was talking to a colleague 5 feet away, but brought us no plates. We were the only people dining in the restaurant and there were no to-go orders. I finally got up and got plates myself and started handing them out to the table. I asked for the check as soon as we finished eating. Host never showed me a bill just asked for and ran my credit card. Then said we could not add tip on the card. Insisted we pay tip in cash. I think it was because he did not want to show me the tab. I left him a 25% tip so as not to give him the opportunity to brush us off as some kind of problem guests.
I have waited tables and am extremely understanding about overworked servers. I have never been to a restaurant and treated so rudely. Your food is delicious. Please fix the...
Read moreIf you're a fan of Indian cuisine and find yourself in Brentwood, Nashville, then Amravati Indian restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I recently dined there and was blown away by the amazing flavors and attentive service.
For my main course, I ordered the paneer tikka masala, which was absolutely divine. The paneer (a type of Indian cheese) was perfectly cooked and coated in a creamy, spiced tomato sauce that was bursting with flavor. It was served with a generous portion of fragrant rice that was the perfect accompaniment.
I also tried the paneer chilli, which was a spicy and tangy dish that really hit the spot. The chunks of paneer were cooked to perfection and the blend of spices and chilies created a wonderful depth of flavor. It was the perfect contrast to the rich and creamy masala.
And let's not forget the butter garlic naan - it was fluffy and flavorful, with just the right amount of garlic and butter. I could have eaten an entire basket of it!
The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and comfortable seating. The service was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home.
Overall, I would highly recommend Amravati Indian restaurant to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Indian cuisine in Brentwood, Nashville. The paneer tikka masala, paneer chilli, and butter garlic naan were all standout dishes that left me craving more. Don't miss out on this...
