The only reason we are giving it two stars is bc the actual instructors are amazing. Our son had lessons with Zay, Jethro, H., and Colby. They were all incredible - and we'd highly recommend any of them for a private lesson BUT the office itself is a DISASTER. They seem to have staff issues. There is literally no one there organizing the office - my husband had to go EVERYDAY to make sure our son was in the right level and his ticket said snowboard and not ski..and in one of his intermediate lessons they added a complete novice snowboarder bc there was no instructor assigned to her - which translates to all the rich Californians who paid last minute for a private lesson ($500 at Christmas time) for their kids took instructors away from the group lessons so they combine the group lessons. Then today on Christmas there is ZERO visibility but they won't refund or let us push the lesson to another date bc they don't want to refund the $. And, our snowboarding son's ticket was for a "ski lesson" today 🙈🙈🙈. Just be completely aware going into lessons at Navajo that they will mess everything up with your $ but if you get your kid a lesson they'll be in awesome hands! Really - A++ for the...
Read moreI learned to ski here in mid-2000s, when we lived in Vegas. Sinve then, we've moved and had been doing ski trips to Tahoe when in CA. Recently to Taos Ski Valley, from TX. In-laws moved nearby. So, we came last Christmas, where I took lessons again. Then this year, where I decided to sit it out and just hubby and kiddo skiing. The facilities are really low-grade or lacking. No room for non-skiers to hang out. They limit a 30 min max at tables. But do not uniformly enforced it. They'll tell others to leave and let others hog. Unlike at Taos Ski Valley, where you can either hang out by the fire, the yurt, by the ice skating rink with heater or even the restaurants (192 at the Blake being our fave, where we hang from lunch to apres ski),or even get a massage at The Blake, this place is relatively a ghetto, with some rude staff members. But we will be back coz it's closest to the in-laws. sad really coz that's not pocket change you spend over there. Maybe can convince hubby to fly to...
Read moreStaff issues!!!! While I was snowboarding today my season pass clip broke and I lost it on the slop. I went to the ticket counter to ask my options and the girl was very rude to me and rolled her eyes constantly while I was asking her questions. She said it would be $45 to replace a card that probably costs brianhead 5 dollars to print. I then talked to three more employees. One in person (one of them on customer service call) and they both said it’s free to replace your card. The last employee said it’s $40. Now I’m even more confused and it doesn’t say anything on the website about this. Never seen such disorganized and rude staff quite...
