Our family came here the weekend of Spring Break & the owner didn't allow our service puppy to assist me with my dining. Most of our family were already seated & waiting on us to arrive. When we did, he quickly said that no puppy is a service animal & that we couldn't dine in & he was kicking us out. He made a big deal about it in front of the entire restaurant & mumbled under his breath where my kids & others heard "see that's not a service dog if you have to drag it out". However, our service dog has been also trained to stay together as a family & he was confused why I had to leave some others behind. He's a hurding type of dog.
I'm a military vet with stage IV breast cancer & we are training him to help me with my health needs. I really don't need to share the details but I felt compelled to do so because of the owners lack of empathy & knowledge.
Under federal & Utah State laws, a service puppy is considered a service dog. That's how you have to train a dog from an early age for your health needs.
In addition, the owner is very unprofessional saying unkind things & being unapologetic.
We went next door to eat at the Mexican place (Roasles Mexican restaurant) & we had a great experience & our service dog was welcomed.
My husband went back to talk the owner about the situation without me, but the owner not only didn't want to have a conversation but said "service dogs also need to be over 25lbs & the reason why you were able to go next door is because they don't speak English". We have him recorded saying this & we wish we can upload that audio.
Not only was this owner insulting to other establishments next door along with not complying with federal & state laws.
Outside dining was available & he didn't offer that. See other screenshot of ADA laws on dining in or out.
He will be reported through the ADA.
*I have added pictures of specific laws to include Utah State law but must importantly ADA laws to help others being affected & discriminated against people at these types of...
Read moreI can’t overstate how disappointing this place was tonight. I read several gushing reviews before our trip to Brian Head, so we were looking forward to trying their pizza. After eating it, I can only assume that people raving about their pizza have never had great pizza.
But let me start at the beginning. We wanted to avoid waiting in line for takeout pizza, so we called to order ahead of time. Someone answered the phone, asked me to hold, and set the phone down for more than 5 minutes. Then I was taking a sip of water when she picked it up and asked if I was still there…before I could swallow and respond, she said “nope” and hung up. I tried to call back 6 more times but the number was busy every time. Then on the 8th try, she answered again and told me to hold.
After that, we decided to drive over and order in person for our takeout. With only two people in front of us in line, we waited almost 15 minutes before being able to order. They were incredibly short staffed during the dinner rush. Then, while ordering, we were told they were out of Canadian bacon and had no deep dish pizza available.
After ordering and paying, we were told it would be ready in 30-35 minutes. 55 minutes later, I went up to the counter to ask about our order. That’s when one of the workers grabbed our pizza and Buffalo wings from on top of the oven where they were already sitting. Both were warm at best, but there’s no way they had just come out and been boxed up. They had been sitting there for a while.
The pizza itself reminded me of mall pizza - nowhere near what I’d consider great pizza from places like Chicago, New York, Detroit and other spots around the country. Sauce and toppings were average, and the crust was like cardboard. To top it off, the Buffalo chicken wings were very tough.
Maybe people “like” this place because there just aren’t a lot of other options in Brian Head. Not sure. But it’s not somewhere I’d ever choose again despite being a captive audience with limited...
Read moreTony from the Kitchen needs to take a chill pill. This guy is so rude, it's unbelievable. Unfortunately, nothing will change even with the reviews because they are the only place in town in Brianhead so they will always have business.
Came in to order a pizza to go at 556pm and the place was understandably busy. I was told at the counter after ordering food that the pizza will be out in FIFTEEN (15) Minutes. I followed up after 33 minutes and flagged down Tony, who immediately told me to "wait one second" before I could even get a word in. Finally got his attention and myself and a few others had asked to check on our orders. He came out and told me, "You've only been waiting 35 minutes!" and I asked the order taker told me 15 minutes. And he said, "NO, she has been telling everyone 55 minutes to 1.5 hours" (Doesn't even sound remotely like 15 minutes). But ok.
He comes out and tells the other people following up for their orders. I was told I needed to wait another 35 minutes. Another lady was told "Look Diane, LOOK around you! (pointing to the restaurant full of people to make sure she understands how busy they are). Not even an apology, or the usual "thank you for your patience" that they teach you in customer service. All of us that were waiting were told that it was between 15 - 20 minutes, but Mr TOE NEE (how he spells his name on the receipt), wants you to know that we are so lucky we are even on the list to get their mediocre pizza.
Needless to say, I had him refund my money. And of course, I tipped them before getting my food, and he didn't refund the full amount! Gonna have to dispute it on my credit card.
STAY AWAY...
