Brian Head General Store — Local services in Brian Head

We arrived in Utah and did not realize how remote we were. We stopped in Brian's Head General Store to pick a few necessities planning to find a larger store the next day. I picked up mayo, mustard, bread, 2 cokes, 1 pkg of sandwich meat, cheese and a few other things that fit in a small collapsible shopping container and was not given a receipt. Much to my surprise the next morning when I checked my bank I had a charge for $136.00. I contacted the store and a nice man sent me a picture of my receipt. I discovered what amounted to at least a 300% mark up on my items. Not happy. The next day we ventured to Honey's and found everything we needed at better prices. We were tired after a long drive and I did not notice prices on the few items I purchased. I was very disappointed in being taken advantage of due to being in a remote location. If there was a 0 star I wouldn’t think twice about using it. The worst staff/owners they are extremely rude and should not have the right to run a general store. Every single one of them. I made a purchase and came back 1 hour later to warm up my food and refill my water and The Old man running the register refused to let me and my little brother warm up our lunch. This was not the first time. How could you refuse 1 minute of microwave use to a 10 year old boy you ask? Cold hearted and Absolutely rudeness to the core. Customer service is everything in this world. I try to shop here at least once a week even though the prices are more than Apple Annie's and the produce is less fresh. But I like to spread my money around. This week I decided I would try one of the frozen pies!!! I got home and realized that I did not have baking instructions. I called the store to find out the temp and time?? The response was "Yeah we have instructions, you can swing by and get them.. I am to busy right now to check for you." A literal quote. "To Busy".
