International Cafe — Restaurant in Brookhaven

I guess it’s safe to say when you’ve been in business since 1983 you will take for granted consistent customers for over 20+ years. My mother introduce me to this spot when I was young. I’ve supported the business and referred business to this establishment. I’ve even utilize them for catering purposes. Today the attitude of the waitresses and the owner (The son) was disrespectful. I’ve always received my change from the waitresses. This one young lady decided that she was going to keep the change. Tab was $19.22 gave her $25. Change due $5.82 may sound petty but it’s not after working in the hospitality for 10+ years. I’ve always trained my waitresses to give the customer the option to tip it’s not an assumption that can be made. The owner (the son) said 99% of customers leave the change and corrected him its the principle of the matter. Spoke with the other waitress about it she rolled her eyes with an attitude. It’s cool still left the waitress $4.84 more than 20% and she wasn’t worth it. On her iPhone etc. Rest assure I kept the energy right with all of there attitudes. Thanks for the sub par service and remember with that type of energy you will see a change in your revenue indeed...

I pass this place a lot and have never been in. We wanted some wings earlier, and I wanted to try a new place. Found International Cafe and only a couple miles away. We called in the order, asked for the hottest wings they had, and were told 10 minutes. We walked in maybe 12 minutes later. Our food was ready on the counter. The gentleman we spoke with opened our wings container and the smell was, just intoxicating. When we finally arrived back at the house after smelling these wings for the past 7 minutes or so, we were ready to crush them. And crush them we did...they were spicy, but not too spicy. It was a solid level of tolerable and pleasant spice. The flavor of the wings was awesome. This is our new go to wing spot, period!

Also, the customer service here is incredible and very much appreciated. I cannot recommend this...

Great local wings. Not a fan of steak fries, but here they are quite crispy. Hot has a small kick to it and the extra hot is a good choice for extra heat. I always get a side of the extra hot wing sauce with the normal hot wing flavor on my wings so I can control the spice levels. Extra hot isn't blisteringly hot and is a good choice for those who like an extra healthy kick of spice while regular hot has good flavor and enough heat for those that are looking for a good spice to flavor ratio. Personally, I think extra hot sauce on the side is perfect because I have regretted eating wings tossed in extra hot in the past. But they were...
