Four main things to beware about this place are as follows : Food, Service, Wait Times, and Hygiene.
The food itself was very subpar for the price. For a place that prides itself in it gastronomy, the food it's self is oversalted and does not live up to the premium prices the restaurant charges. 20$+ for basic barbacoa with rice and 2 pieces Yuca leaves for a disappointing experience. This disappointing dish is paired with even worse waiter service.
This place seems to be proud of the fact that it takes a waiter 10+ minutes to be handed a simple menu and even more to actually take the order. This isn't even mentioning one of the bigger problems with the place, which is the wait time. We saw our waiter for a total of 3 times in a span of 2 hours. This was only for taking the order, serving the drinks, and leaving the food. This on top that the place forces a tip of 20% for an abysmal service that doesn't constitute even 5% of a 3$ tip.
The worst part of the entire experience was the horrendous wait times. 30+ minutes for 3 drinks and over an hour for the subpar food with the added sting the restaurant wasn't even at full capacity. This is with the fact that most people have already order their food by the time we arrived, which meant that the staff was just waiting on their table's food and doing nothing instead of attending people walking in.
All of these factors contributed to a horrendous experience, but what really set in motion this bad review was raw meat incident. This why I mentioned hygiene before I'm the beginning. There was a piece of raw meat stuck on the bottom of my plate, in which I proceeded to unknowingly touch. After pointing it out to there server, his solution was to just grab it with a piece of napkin and apologize for the inconvenience. This incident can either mean two things, the restaurant set out plate of food where it can come in contact with raw ingredients or that the plates were not washed properly that it allowed a piece of raw meat to make it through the entire process. Regardless of the reason, the fact that I was able to touch uncooked beef stuck on the bottom of the plate leaves reason enough to never come back to this place again.
Please do yourself a favor and never come to this place, let your desire of Peruvian Food be untouched by whatever this place claims to be.

Let’s start with the basics: the food. I ordered a simple, traditional Peruvian dish expecting something warm, flavorful, and authentic. Instead, what I received was cold, undercooked, and not even the dish I ordered. When I pointed out the mistake, I was met with eye rolls and passive shrugs from the staff instead of an apology or a solution. No urgency. No care. No accountability.
The customer service? Atrocious. Our server vanished for most of the meal, and when we finally flagged someone down, they acted like we were the inconvenience. No one checked on our table. No one offered to fix the mistake. Not a single apology for the cold food or the botched order. The attitude from the staff made the experience feel more like a punishment than a meal.
And this isn’t an isolated incident. Friends of mine have also complained about long wait times, incorrect orders, and even finding hair in their food. It’s clear this restaurant has absolutely no standards when it comes to quality or service.
Between the inedible food, the rude and inattentive staff, and the overall lack of professionalism, this place is a disaster. If management doesn’t completely overhaul how this restaurant is run, it won’t be long before word of mouth shuts it down entirely.

If you're craving a dish that brings together rich flavor, vibrant color, and soul-warming comfort, look no further than Peruvian Arroz con Pollo with Papa a la Huancaína. This classic combination is a true celebration of Peru’s culinary heritage.
The arroz con pollo is nothing short of spectacular—moist, perfectly seasoned rice infused with the bold flavors of cilantro, garlic, and spices, all embracing tender chicken that falls apart at the touch of a fork. The green hue from the cilantro isn't just beautiful—it’s a burst of earthy, herbaceous goodness in every bite.
Complementing this is the Papa a la Huancaína, a dish that elevates the humble potato to something truly indulgent. The silky Huancaína sauce—creamy, slightly spicy, and bursting with the flavor of Peruvian ají amarillo—pours generously over soft boiled potatoes, adding a luxurious contrast to the vibrant arroz con pollo.
Together, these dishes offer a perfect balance: hearty and satisfying, yet layered with bright, bold flavors that transport you straight to the heart of Lima. Whether you're a longtime fan of Peruvian cuisine or discovering it for the first time, this combination is an unforgettable experience.
