I love the owners! They're so sweet & attentive!
The food was good, I had a simple plate but was very happy overall with my entire meal experience.
I recommend the chicken on a stick I also suggest the tea
Wasnt a fan of the house fried rice (Perhaps just veggie fried would've been better)
The egg roll cores are a bit doughy
Other thoughts:
After a long day, Simply sitting down in a very comfortable booth was very relaxing.
This is a very family-friendly restaurant & I can tell the locals love this place & likewise the owners love their customers.
The food is average but the 5 Stars is more about how the owner seems to care about his customers on a one-to-one basis
There was this lovely couple with their two children (Spanish speaking) & the owner (Mandarin speaking) Right away switched to his best Spanish which I thought was a kind gesture & between the gentleman trying his best English & owner trying his best Spanish, it was just gold. This is why I love America, That kind of respect goes further than just a simple good meal.
I welcome anyone who is in the area to drop by & support your local...
Read moreThis place nails what we would all collectively know as "American" Chinese food and does it extremely well and definitely earns its 5 stars if you're judging it by that metric and that's what you're looking for. Everything is seasoned and flavored super well and the portions are generous -- staff is blunt, but they'll be nice to you if you respect their time and treat them like human beings. (Tip them too. The restaurant business is still in a very tough place now)
As for the food, hands down the best broccoli beef in town, all of their pork dishes are excellent, and anything fried is done perfectly. A side bonus is that if you actually want them to make stuff spicy, they'll do it in spades.
If you're looking primarily for authentic Chinese food, this place isn't it, (although they can accommodate a lot of you know what you want, their eggplant dishes are great) but it is hands down some of the most consistent and good Chinese food as most Americans know it and is well...
Read moreMy to go order was crab rangoon and shrimp fried rice. After some time making my order and standing at the cashier desk, I noticed their rating of C was lying down face up hidden in a top shelf behind the cash desk. I asked the young cashier to see it and they had all kinds of violations. I told the cashier the rating should be displayed properly for customers to see. He stood it on the back counter facing away from customers. I was worried about the safety of the food I was going to receive. The crab rangoon was cooked too hard. Since I was concerned about the rating I did not eat the cream cheese filling as one violation was concerning the temperature the food was being kept. I ate some of the shrimp fried rice but had some concern about eating the shrimp so I did not. The rice itself was pretty good. $21 wasted. I regret I did not refuse the food upon acknowledging their sanitation score and reading the comments of sanitation. Please...
