I repeat DO NOT STAY HERE UF YOU CAN!!!!! There were a million better options around the corner… I am a single mom who worked 3 jobs to save for three years to go on this trip to Disney and Knott’s . I have a son who has an Autoimmune disease. We got the clear to travel, and did what we always do called everyone let them know, and made arrangements . I thought I booked one hotel and it ended up being this one… pay attention to the reviews like this one because it’s exactly like it says. I called before I booked the hotel to let them know. I had an auto immune child and that I was worried about the reviews and if they could just remark on the reservation about wiping down my room before I got in here. Just like all hotels we have stayed in before or anywhere that I have never ever had a problem and I’ve always had people go above and beyond. When I called prior to booking, a week after I booked, and right before I came. I was promised I could review the room and that they would make sure that got in the notes. If I didn’t like it I could switch to a new room. When I got there and let the guy know who said he was the manager or the owner of the place. He acted like he didn’t know who I was, that he never talked to me, I even had phone records… the room was disgusting!! These pictures don’t even do how bad it was. I was so tired and it was late at night. I had to go to Walgreens and sanitize and wipe down this entire. He told me well. Maybe you should just not stay here then and you can go somewhere else. There was no empathy from the manager. He talked over me, never let finish explaining what an autoimmune is since kept saying idk what that is.. and why would I bring him , if he could be hospitalized, he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do and there was no where further this conversation can go. Thank goodness I had brought my own sheets blankets pillowcases. Walgreens across the street went and got cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself. Not once did the check-in the next day to see if I was okay, or he was, or even offer me another room.. nothing. I got the whole conversation and will be reporting to Better Businesses Bureau and Health Department, and anyone I can!! Please learn from my lesson….

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. IT was very very disgusting and the customer service was poor from the staff to the Manager named Mo. My husband checked us into the hotel and we were told our room was on the third floor, so we unloaded our luggage and our two babies onto their stroller. We walked over to the Elevator and it never came down and doors opened but their was no elevator. So I had to walk over to front office and I spoke with the manager named Mo. I asked Mo if the elevator was working and then I asked if I can use a restroom. He started talking to another customer about a different issue as I stood there waiting and dancing a bit since I needed the restroom. He finally turned back and said he would send someone over to check out elevator and said no to the restroom. Coming from a manager I thought that was pretty rude. My husband then walked over and got our rooms changed since elevator was not working and we had alot to carry. The moment we walked into our room it was so disappointing and disgusting 😠. The room smelled, and it looked dirty. One of the beds had a sheet with stains. There were so many fruit flies that I can not tell you how many we killed because we lost count. The carpet was beyond filthy. My poor babies who can only crawl got their knees black after crawling for an hour. When we initially booked the room we wanted to book for the following weekend but this hotel lost out on some loyal customers. I noticed afterwards this place had a lot of bad reviews, so if someone from this hotel chooses to reach out i would like to know how are you going to fix this, and not by just apologizing for the terrible experience my family and I had. Last but not least, there is a sign outside the hotel that said new rooms, the room we stayed in was completely dated. Very unsatisfied with this hotel and the service.

This place was fantastic! I wasn't expecting very much because the room was quite inexpensive, but I was pleasantly surprised. The single queen room wasn't that large (rather tight actually) but it is totally perfect for just my son and I to sleep since we spent all day at Knott's Berry Farm. (Which happens to only be an easy 7-minute walk from the inn.) Although small, the room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. It had a refrigerator, microwave and a flat screen TV. And free WiFi! The bed and pillows were also comfortable and the air conditioner worked very well. I was able to check in early (but not get a room key) so I could park my car there while we were at Knott's. Although we only went to the park that one day, I was told we could park there the following day as well even if we checked out in the morning. When we checked in, the desk attendant had a nice little gift for my 5-year old. Nothing expensive, but the gesture was awesome and my son was stoked. He also got a cookie and we were offered a couple bottles of cold water and some fruit to take with us. Woot! When we got back to the hotel that evening and got into the room, we were surprised with a gift basket of goodies (and a bottle of wine) on the table for us. Totally unexpected! All things considered, it was apparent that the hosts appreciated us staying with them and take pride in their hotel. Almost forgot to mention the included breakfast in the morning. I think everyone's had some amazing breakfasts, but none are usually at small hotels. With that in mind, the breakfast was better than others I've had at hotels, but it's not top-of-the-line. Nobody should expect it to be. Thumbs up on the breakfast. Hands down, my go-to spot when we head to Knott's!

The first thing to understand is that many of the positive reviews you may read about this motel on Yelp and Trip Advisor are paid for: there'a a sign in the lobby saying that if you post a positive review on both sites and send screenshots to Best Host Inn management, they'll take 10% off your bill. 😳So when you see a five-star review here, know that it was motivated by a desire for someone to save money, not accurately review the motel. I can't stress how important this is to understand: people are not mentioning any problems they have because they are getting money to do so. 🙄This goes against everything that Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews are supposed to represent and is profoundly dishonest.

First, the positives: the location is great if you're going to Knottsberry Farm or Knott's Soak City. Both are in easy walking distance. Upon check-in we were given a gift for each kid (a large pen) which was a nice surprise. The check-in process was fast and easy. In our room there was a little welcome basket with some food and a bottle of wine. The breakfast is quite decent - fresh waffles - and it exceeded my expectations. These are all thoughtful touches. Unfortunately they in no way outweigh the problems with the room itself.

Now, the negatives...and there are a lot. We started killing ants in our room when we arrived and didn't stop until we checked out. Ants crawling in the shower. Yuck. The hotel is very old and in poor shape. The walls are thin so it's easy to hear everyone around you (we were on the top floor thankfully). The AC unit is old, loud, weak, and right next to one bed. We had to leave it running all night just to keep the room lukewarm, but my son (in the bed next to the AC unit) was freezing all night because of it. When we went out for dinner we took the stairs down and one of the light covers had fallen and shattered in the stairwell; there was broken glass everywhere. Only one of the lights had a cover. Someone had killed and stepped on three bumble bees, and the floor was swarming with ants eating the dead bugs. Walking to our car we saw an empty bottle of booze outside someone's door, and a full wine bottle outside another door. Returning from dinner we heard someone's in-room security alarm going off. There are cigarette butts everywhere in the stairwell and hallways. When nightfall came, there was a large bright light outside our room window, and the curtains do little to block the light so the whole room was lit up. Idiots use the main road the hotel is on to drive very fast, very loud cars. The beds and pillows are uncomfortable. I slept two hours max that night.

Before going to bed my wife and I had a reality check and realized we didn't want to stay more than the one night, so I called down to the front desk around 11pm and asked if we could check out the next morning. The guy said yes, no problem, and they'd refund our remaining days. We checked out the next morning at 10am and the maintenance guy - who was apparently also the manager on duty - informed me that there would be no refund from them and I'd have to sort it out with Expedia myself. Not what I wanted to hear. We received a three-night refund; we used one night, and apparently they keep one extra night's charge as a penalty for checking out early.

I regret booking a room here and believing all the falsely positive reviews by people who only cared about getting 10% of...

I wish I could say my stay was pleasant, but it was anything but that. As soon as my wife and two kids arrived, the place looked questionable. But we remained optimistic considering a sign mentioned they had new rooms. In my mind that meant it was recently renovated. However, as I soon found out, that was not the case. While waiting to check-in I heard another guest complain that his restroom wasn't working, and the guy at the front desk offered him to use the restroom they had in the lobby while they sent maintenance up to his room. This should have been red flags, but unfortunately we continued with our plans to check in. We were surprised to find out they required a $50 deposit. To make matters worse we were given a room (310) which was in the 3rd floor, this would have been okay except the elevator was not working. One of the maids said she had informed the front desk and management so my wife went back to the lobby to complain and use the restroom since we couldnt get to our room. My wife informed me that the manager Moe did not let her use their restroom, which was stupid because his employee asked another guest if he wanted to use the restroom earlier. That same manager also played ignorant when mentioning the elevator was not functional. His response was that "It couldn't be down and he'd have maintenance look into it. I took pictures just in case he tried to dispute it. In the end he provided us with a room on the first floor (Room 107) which was very disgusting and had a foul odor. He mentioned that this room was bigger than what we were going to get, but it wasn't. I think he thought I was boo boo the foo, but he lied about the size, it was the same size, the only difference is that they crammed bunk beds next to the queen beds. The carpet was wet and after an hour of our daughters crawling, their hands, arms, legs, and feet were as black as if they were rolling around in fresh asphalt. On top of that, we found ourselves killing multiple fruit flies, anf by the time we started counting we had killed 14, and there were still several. Bed sheets were stained and beds were ridiculously uncomfortable to the point that neither my wife or I got any rest. Moreover, the AC wasn't that great and seemed to only run on one speed... low. This place should be ashamed of themselves, and that Manager Moe should be fired, he's not doing this location or company any good. And if he's the owner, this place is going under. I guess we learned a valuable lesson, you get what you pay for. I WOULD RECCOMED EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, and if your'e looking for a low cost place to stay at... try Motel 6, at least with them you know what to expect. This place is something else. I'm going to laugh if they follow this up with the generic "I apologize we didn't live up to our normal standards" speech... save it. If you really want to make things right, offer us a refund or update travel sites to show what your rooms actually look like, fix ongoing issues (wet dirty carpets, outdated tile floors and bathrooms, fruit fly infestation, get new furniture, and new AC units)... when that's fixed offer us a complimentary stay and I'll be more than happy to update my review. Outside of that, shame on this hotel for trying to take advantage of people by providing false...

Do not stay here.

First off, on the back of the key card holder, it says "report suspicious persons or acts". When I told the front desk that some guy tried to follow my 8 year old daughter into the room when we checked in, the person told me "what do you want me to do about it?" and then laughed.

This happened when we went into the room and I was looking in the bathroom to see if it was clean after I saw the whole housing cover of the air conditioner laying on the floor. It is a hazard for any reason and especially when you have smaller children, which I have.

I asked for room change and the person said I would be fine being in that room. He would not refund my money because they need you to cancel 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE to get a refund. There will be NO REFUND given if they are "booked". After complaining and a bit of arguing, they put me in a different room (after he said there were no more rooms).

This room was close to the office and away from the other side of the motel. This made things a little better.

I asked the front desk employee not to send the maintenance man to the room till I was there because I had expensive equipment in the room and he did not listen and said things would be fine. He told me not to worry because the maintenance man wouldn't steal anything. I explained that I did not trust anyone, so I just wanted to be there.

When walking back to our room to get our things, the door was left wide open. The person fixing the air conditioner didn't even close the door while he repaired the problem. I'm sorry, this isn't care for other people's property or safety.

I also had to put down towels on our bathroom floor because the floors were so dirty. We take our shoes off in any place we walk in. Our feet became black from walking around the room and bathroom. So, this place needs an overhaul.

Do not expect good breakfast here, clean rooms (unless you have bad eyes), understanding staff, kid friendly hotel, or comfort here. The beds felt well worn and the furniture in both rooms were beat up badly. Spiders, gnats and other bug problems too. I believe the television was local access since qubo was on there along with the fuzzy channels on the tv.

It is true that they offer an 8% discount on your stay with a good review. As long as the review is done within 7 days of stay. If they concentrated on fixing up this place, spraying for bugs, retraining the staff, customer service and actually having better food (hold the flies landing on the dry crumbling eggs that had no cover on it) and all around a comfortable stay, then I think they wouldn't have to offer a discount for a fake review.

Save yourself a headache and do not stay here unless you simply don't care about these...
