Well, I only picked one star, because â0â was not an option! The pharmacists at this Buena Park location, especially Kandis and Candy need retrained & detained. They are ignorant, unqualified, rude, arrogant, they put the lives of their customers in jeopardy, and come up with ridiculous reasons why your seriously needed meds arenât ready at the 7878 Crescent Avenue store by lying and making up things that have nothing to do with why your pills aren't were they should be! Itâs their laziness, lack of knowledge on the seriousness of not having your meds on time, their lack of compassion & care. Also their negligence in professionalism, and their outright refusal to push one button on the register which once they enter you into the computer will access all of your prescriptions. If they were picked up, if they weren't picked up, and where the hell they sent them to if they are not there! When I first called Kandis at the7878 Crescent Avenue store she accused me of already picking my meds up, (which I did not), to âmaybe their in the mailâ (which they have no permission to do so because the workers @ the USPS CANNOT BE TRUSTED), I had two important packages stolen this year, then Kandis said they were in a âspecialty storeâ, due to governor Newsom making it a new law that any medication over a certain value MUST BY LAW be sent to a âspecialty store!â I was 7 days late on my meds and a family member and I found out what âspecialty storeâ my meds had been filled at 7 days agoâŠThe ever so great and wondrous NOHO WALGREENS. If you were ever in that store you already know there is absolutely NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT IT! Candy another pharmacist said I talked to Kandis about what happened and she said she did that because she didn't know you! What the $&@? does that even mean? I wont stop there. The stupidity, of reckless , and dangerous pharmacists, who put their customers lives in danger, and brush it off as a âmisunderstandingâ as Candy told me was what this wasâŠbut this âmisunderstandingâ which was more like a miscommunication, or a total MISS of doing the basic steps of your job!, will be reported to as many people, agencies, and others as possible. This wasnât the first time this store had sent my meds to various locations, accused me of already picking them up, or blaming the transfer on the doctor who wrote it, to a Walgreens which I have no affiliation with whatsoever! Three pharmacist at this location all said thats the only way it can be transferred! THEY ARE ALL WRONG! THIS IS ALSO THE FAULT OF CORPORATE FOR NOT RE-TRAING AND FOR ALLOWING UNQUALIFIED PEOPLE TO WORK FOR WALGREENS!. WALGREENS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PHARMACY! BOYCOT...
Read moreWorst pharmacy I have ever been to. Had been waiting 2 weeks for my Dr. to prescribe a new medicine after the holidays and follow up visit required. So yesterday did that, Dr. sent my script, and I drove there from Orange (appointment ended 30 minutes earlier). After calling the Rxy twice to see when it would be ready, I kept getting an automated message saying "we're working on it" - well I know that but when can I pick it up? I showed up 4pm to inquire but line was crazy. Two windows open, 15 people in line. Decided to walk around the store for 5 minutes to see if it died down and decide if I should leave and come back . Went back to Rx window and line was even longer (never moved). Left and called store back a 3rd time and got transferred to a live person and they said "it'll be ready in 90 minutes", so 2+ hours from when it was sent. Pretty slow but still less than the crazy estimates I've seen people put on these reviews.
Meanwhile I went by Wal Mart on my way home to buy 2 items and nobody at the pharmacy at all! Should've gone there instead.
Went back later (6:30) to pick it up @ Walgreens and No drive thru for me to pick up (like CVS or other Walgreens have). Went inside and waited in line behind 5 people and only 1 window open now. Took 25 minutes for me to get my turn, because each customer was a crazy story or situation that the tech had a heck of a time to solve. At one point she was just printing out forms and highlighting them for someone who wanted "shots" for more than 10 minutes. When my turn at front of the line, she couldn't find my Rx even though it had only been filled an hour ago! Basically should be right there on top of everything that just came out. At the very least, sorted by last name (A-L, M-Z). Eventually she went back and found it, not sure if the pharmacist just forgot to put it in the bin or what, but nothing was sorted it was just everywhere.
I used to use the Walgreens Rx's in Tustin and Irvine religiously but this place is a total 3rd world dystopia. Avoid at all costs. Their systems are slow, badly understaffed, no drive thru, crackheads in line, and it's a...
Read moreAll of the pharmacy staff that I have spoken with have, for the most part, been great, especially Nancy! Nancy goes above and beyond to make sure needs are being met. However, there has been a recent change that all calls first go to a call center before going to the pharmacy directly as a way to alleviate the amount of calls going to the pharmacy. The issue is that I always need to speak to the prescribing pharmacy due to the nature of the medication. So I have to wait on hold for ten minutes to ask to be transferred to then wait on hold for 20-40 minutes before getting through to the pharmacy, since there is no way to call the pharmacy directly anymore. Sometimes the hold time is long enough that the call fails and I need to start the process again. I have needed to call the pharmacy multiple times a month for several months in a row and the wait times get soulcrushing. There needs to be more staff at the pharmacy itself to help with taking calls and filling prescriptions. Why implement a call center...
