Buena Vista Inn — Hotel in Anaheim

Property was not as pictured. There were very few plugs for charging, only three very flat pillows across our entire king bed, and one small body towel, hand towel, and wash cloth per person. No more, no less. When I called to ask for extra pillows, the gentleman I spoke with said he’d call me back in ten minutes to let me know if he could find any. Twenty minutes later, I called him back and he said he’d been very busy with customers (not true- we could see the check-in window the whole time) he finally said they didn’t have any extra pillows-- that was a first! No safe in the room and no coffee maker (these weren’t listed in the description, but we’re so used to them being staples, that we assumed they’d be there, so I just want to give others a heads up, who may assume those items would be there). The refrigerator, shower, and TV worked well, so those were nice! The room and bathroom were clean (I wouldn’t touch the couch in the room with a ten foot pole, though). We would stay here again knowing that we’d need to bring our own pillows, more towels, and an extension cord for plugging in laptops, chargers, etc. I’ve included pictures showing the lack of plugs and the room, in general. In one picture, it’s hard to tell what I’m pointing out- it was a picture behind one of the nightstands that didn’t have a plug behind it. The other nightstand only had a phone jack behind it. The very long “work” desk didn’t have a plug available. In one pic, my husband is pointing down where the nearest plug is for that desk- totally unusable. The only dual (normal) plug in the room only had one working plug. The other one...

As soon as we pulled into the parking lot I asked if we could get our money back. This is a seriously disgusting run down filthy hotel whose owner should be ashamed to be renting rooms in. I have photos of all the damage and dirt everywhere. Every wall had holes and marks and just filth on them. The wires for the TV were just draped over the top and the remote didn't work and you couldn't even shut it off without unplugging it. The microwave had the wrong plate so it did not rotate the food. The shower head still had plumbers tape at the connection and when i turned on the bathroom sink the aerator blew off. The rack that's supposed to have hangers to hang clothes was covered in rust and had been pulled from the wall previously and reattached at an angle with the rods still bent. The lamp shades had holes throughout and when i brought one to the evening manager to show him how bad it was he just shrugged at me. All of the towels had stains and were so rough you could sand furniture with them. They had painted i guess at some point but didn't mask any of the fixtures so they all had paint all over them and the hook for the towel in the shower was sheered off. Staff is friendly and Rooms are in fair condition not bad for the price however my only concern is not about the cleanliness. Check out time supposed to be at 11am.It was 8am while i was packing up.Ive overheard near my door in the 3rd floor the Indian lady owner talking outside maybe with a employee . I didn’t want pay any attention to that but I locked the door as soon as i put everything in my car and I decided to go back upstairs to use the bathroom one last time and my key card was rejected obviously it was deactivated.I just wondered how they knew exactly that i was leaving.Maybe they have hidden cameras on the rooms who knows.I decided to give back the key card and the owner just smiled at me. If it wasn’t for that issue i will not have any problems with the Hotel at all because ive been staying here many times before i just don’t like the fact that as soon as i leave and locked the room my key card was deactivated because it was rejected after inserting it again.Are they spying on the guests or how they know because i love privacy which i felt I didn’t...
