First impression was not good, lots of older, permanent campers that don't have a warm and welcoming appearance. Our site, B7 is a pull thru that meet our needs, and actually has a partial view of the lake. The park is in a beautiful setting, however, as you walk around you will notice quite a few dilapidated trailers with unkempt yards. There are a lot of rules here including one about having to pay for a background check. We were not asked to pay the $15 required for it and assume it's meant for long term residents. Absolutely no alcohol is allowed on the property. The rules make it sound like a safe, quiet place. This place is anything but quiet. People allow their DOGS TO BARK ALL NIGHT!!! It seems to be the permanent residents who put their dogs out and are too lazy to wait for them to do their business and let them back in. Instead they wait for them to bark a few minutes. One barked for 10 minutes each time it was let out. I'm a huge animal lover but no one wants to be kept up all night because of barking. There also doesn't seem to be a speed limit. I watched a little white car come barreling down the hill at the entrance about a dozen times! You can have all the rules in the world, if there's no one here to enforce them, some people will break every...
Read moreA lot of improvements been made, including water system and some pull through sites down by the lake.
New bathhouse under Construction.
Older campground that the city purchased from a church.
50 amp amd 30 amp services common at each sute and a 15 amp single leg too. No power issues. Used my Humphrey and only once did it show a yellow indication of imbalanced leg load. Very hot day. Water is good quality from the city system. Pressure fluctuates.
Stayed 6 months for work.
36foot class A with a toad.
Many long term residents. Some with very nicely decorated sites. Good people.
Teresa in the office has been great to work with.
Some sites not leveled the best, but they are improving. Full time grounds crew.

Read moreI would never stay at this park again. Staff was NOT friendly the sites were quite uneven no concrete just stones. Required a deposit for a bathroom key we didn’t need the powers box is locked up and the deposit took almost a week and a half to get back. Location was tucked way back behind some businesses with NO, I mean NO signage to follow to get to the park. We ended up on a dead end street at first with a circular end thank god to turn around. We are in a 40’ motorhome with tow. GPS was no help either. Wow what a fiasco. Spring for a few signs with arrows. The park is 90% full time residents with maybe 5 overnight sites no one at the office or signage pointing which way to sites. We had to wing it. Anyway it was a place to park for the night but next time Walmart or Cracker Barrel if in the area. Unfortunately Birmingham South was...
