To preface this, it is indeed a motel 6 so the expectations weren’t terribly high to begin with. But this was a special experience in quite an unsavory way
The one redeeming factor was the kind and welcoming woman at the front desk who greeted us and helped us switch from the first room after we found it visibly dirty and reeking of cigarette smoke upon entering (despite being a “non-smoking” room; I don’t believe any to actually be bound by these terms in any facet).
After being graciously allowed to move to the room next door, we realized it was in no better condition than the prior and that this is just how it’s gonna be. It got worse the longer we stayed.
more dust that hadn’t even been attempted to be wiped away dried pee stains around the top and bottom of the toilet seat hairs strewn over the discolored towels dirt inside and along the edge of the bathtub floor that obviously hadn’t been swept or mopped at all recently random liquids dripping inside refrigerator stained sheets and random food/possibly blood stains on the wall one gummy candy inside a very small plastic bag left inside the fridge (would be dumb to believe it wasn’t drugs left from the last tenant)
The obvious lack of covid protocol and respect for anyone renting the rooms was pretty frustrating and frankly disgusting. If there was any sort of cleaning crew working here, they were most likely highly underpaid if not grossly incompetent and negligent
Spend a little more money and get a room elsewhere in town if you have even the most minimal standards...
Read moreWe arrived late as it was planned. I contacted the hotel in advance to inform them. That was not suppose to be an issue as the office was open 24h. However when we arrived they assigned us a room that was already occupy. then after I went back to the front desk they told me they did a mistake and give me the key for another room. This room was ALSO occupy. By chance nothing happen but it could have been very dangerous for me to enter in a room with someone and that's not nice for the persons that were in the room to be wake up so late by someone that has the key for their room. That's inacceptable. When I went back to the front desk it took me forever that they believe me and they didn't want to go out of their office with me; apparently for safety reason but they obviously didn't care about my safety as they gave me some occupy room. Then someone came with me to verify that the room was busy and then long time after all that they found the manager that was able to give me another room, empty this time. That was the first time that something like that happen to us and we travel a lot. that's unacceptable and the manager didn't want to give us a discount, but he should have done it... that was a bad experience. I don't recommend motel 6 for...
Read moreWell, I booked on expedia and checked in kind of early before noon. I talked to one custodian and let her know the room was not cleaned since whoever had stayed in there before me. I went and ran some errands in hopes that they would get to it by the time I returned. They did not. I told the front desk about the state of the room, and someone went up there about 5 minutes later. An older woman and then a similarly aged man showed up. The woman asked when she got there, what I needed, so I told her I had just checked in and needed the room cleaned. She commented on the room being messy like I was the one who did it. I was not. They fixed the bed and left. I was dumbfounded because the trash was full, there were used towels, crusty stuff on the sink counter, and dust on everything. They obviously are very disorganized and unprofessional there. Luckily I booked through expedia and was able to get an easy refund. Just a massive waste of time. They should charge 40 a night, not 90, because that's the kind of quality you...
