No where even close to "Family Friendly", dangerous, full of drugs and scary people. The manager hates kids of any age. My 10yr old son was playing outside with two other visitors, when one of those children hit my son very very hard on the back of the head with some kind of toy (raising a decent size knot right away).. The 'manager " approaches me as I'm trying to assess my child's injury, ranting things about money and liability... His English broken and often hard to understand.. I tell the man not to worry, it had nothing to do with the motel, just kids being kids, and turned my focus back to my crying child... Until I hear the words "check out" utter out of his mouth a few times... I just paid this man yesterday, in full, for the entire week, the man that I have paid a small fortune to recently, that knows my situation being A single mom of 2, working all the hours that I can, the man that I speak to several times a day, even offering to help anyway I could if they would work with me, until I found a better housing option for my family... . The motel is nothing but an obvious dope house, however a handy place to go if homeless or it's an absolute have to type of situation, like my own. It's an astonishing $250 a week. It's loud and scary. Infestations of Roaches and bed bugs are in most of the rooms. The wall in our room had broken glass stuck to it, appearing to originate from beer bottles thrown and busted on the concrete block walls. It was hard to notice, located almost behind the door. My guest rested a hand there while putting on some shoes, getting sliced several times on the right palm. I've never seen anything like it before. Stay at...
Read moreThe people who own this place have some nerve arguing with me about a refund. First of all, it was advertised as $75 but they ended up charging $100. Second, the room was exactly what you would expect from a dirty little motel on the side of the road, but with the strong smell of weed. When we asked for a refund, they said no refund and just passed us off another room. But now that room smelled like weed and mildew, and had a bunch of hairs all over like someone just finished getting a haircut or shaving. Finally I demanded a refund and that’s when the husband and wife duo that own the place took turns giving me terrible a customer service. The woman let us know that it takes 24/48 hours for a refund to return to a card. I said that’s fine but I want a receipt . That’s when she lost her cool and started yelling at me for being rude. Rude how!? All I asked for was a receipt. Just the fact these people were yelling at me the way they were and they OWN the place is just wild. Maybe they should be out there spraying the rooms instead of being ignorant to customers. Avoid this place at all cost. Better off at the Loves gas station parking lot or try...
Read moreAllow me to enlighten you on my extravagant, short-lived stay at the motel that is known the Crown Inn in the lovely city of Cartersville. I entered a small office with a few foreigners in there (no big deal man, foreigners are cool), with my cash ready. I was half welcomed by a man on the phone who didn't say one word to me except "240."
After being handed my keys, I made my way to my room. My nostrils were attacked by the glorious stench of cheap cigarettes and broken dreams. Wow, my young innocent lungs love the smell of cigarettes in the morning!
When my brain was finally accustomed to the aroma after inhaling it for so long, I thought to myself: "hey, this isn't half bad for 240 a week, man."
UNTIL I MET AN UNEXPECTED AND UNINVITED GUEST! A COCKROACH. Now, I'm not too picky, and one roach doesn't really bother me.. but they did not stop there...
Here a roach, there a roach, everywhere a roach roach...
The room was swarming with roaches of all different sizes who just love to scurry across your toothbrush, into your bags of potato chips, and hey, even in the shower to get nice and clean with you!
But on the plus side, there was no sign...
