OEC CHINESE EXPRESS — Restaurant in Cartersville

This is an excellent Chinese restaurant if you are looking for a quick meal with good food at a fair price. I ordered Mongolian beef with rice, an egg roll and a can of Coke. The portions were generous and the food was piping hot and fresh. Very tasty, yet it didn't make me thirsty afterwards, as is often common with Chinese food.

If you chose to dine in, you order your meal at the counter, have a seat in one of the booths or tables, and wait till they call your prepared order. You pick it up and bring it to your table yourself, so this is strictly a self-service restaurant. Everything is disposable, including the Styrofoam containers and plastic cutlery.

There is no fancy atmosphere to speak of, but for eating a quick lunch alone, this didn't bother me. The bright side is you aren't paying a lot extra for atmosphere. I knew this going into this restaurant. I would definitely eat here again.

They have some beautiful Asian-themed ceramics and other artwork on display for sale in the dining area and on the walls. These would make nice gifts for someone, especially because they are priced...

The food was disgusting. There was no flavor in the food and the rice was all soggy. We asked for veggie fried rice and there was hardly any vegetables inside the meal, just mushy brown rice. They don’t care to follow directions clearly. We told them that our family has allergies to the green onions and that we specifically did not want any placed in our food. Despite our instructions, we still found green onions in our food. We asked for a large cup of General tso sauce and they gave us a very small cup and yet we paid for a larger size. There’s no real respect or appreciation for customers. We are never ever coming here again. Very poor...

Looking for a new go-to Chinese take out restaurant in Cartersville and decided to try this place last week .. I was greeted by a very nice young man, who provided answers to a couple of questions I had since it was my first time there .. ordered the food and it was ready within a short time later .. the portions were plentiful for a leftover meal which is important to us .. the downside was that I had to purchase the appetizer version of the fried tofu which is an added cost of $8 because the Vegetable Delight entree did not come with tofu...
