Super 8 by Wyndham Carthage — Hotel in Carthage

My sister and I booked a room with Super 8. We had a long drive and all we wanted was to get in our room and relax. The owner was at the front desk when we arrived and hour early for check-in. He was not a nice man!! But said no check-in come back 1 hour. (He didn't speak good English.) But anyways we did come back later checked in. This time a nice lady at the front desk!!! She even helped carried all my stuff up the stairs. No Elevator!!!!! And I have a bad back... My sister and I got in the room and omg it was nasty!!!! Never have I ever seen such filthy place!!!!!! I tried to call down to the front desk a few times but no answer. So I walked down the lady asked if something was wrong i said "oh yes" I shower her the pictures we took. She was willing to give us a new room. I said no way after seeing this room I just want my money back. I did tell her the housekeeper should be fired!!!!! Soap scum from that's people that rented the room was still in the tub. I wiped to see if it was just the tub or scum. It...

We stayed one night due to passing through the area. Hotel is ok however it is over priced. While the rooms were clean and spacious (massively under using the space in rooms) there is a lot of needed maintenance needing to be done for example Hot tub was broken, multiple outside lights out and the rear doors do not lock even though there is a sign for room key needed to access. ||While they claim to have a breakfast it is lacking the only hot item they had was coffee. ||If your like my family plan on bringing a power strip as there are no outlets to charge. For the tiny tv they had a three way outlet adapter just to power that and the cable box (haven’t even seen those...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! YOU'RE BETTER OFF SLEEPING IN YOUR CAR! The carpet was torn, rippled, stained, just gross. Couldn't take off your shoes. Holes in the chairs, fridge didn't work, freezer door missing. Sticky stuff on the bathroom floor, our shoes stuck to it. You could catch a disease in this place. I'M SHOCKED THAT WYNDHAM ALLOWS THIS FRANCHISEE TO REPRESENT THEIR BRAND. I'VE STAYED IN 3 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS ON MY RECENT TRAVELS, AND IT WAS HORRIBLE, EACH LOCATION WORST THAN THE LAST. I'm a Wyndham rewards member, however; I'm canceling my membership. If you don't care enough to make your franchisees clean and upgrade your motels, then I want no part of your company....
