I think there is a lot to be said about how establishments treat their patrons. It shouldnât matter how you look. Unfortunately, this place gave more attention to a fake baby doll, than to my party of three. I enjoy the experiment to teach my children respect and morals. We choose to eat at places that look âunder the radarâ - we donât want to pay for the aesthetic/rent - but want an authentic place that puts QUALITY into their food. This place was for sure a bust. We left hungry. Portions were small. I ordered a charro nacho (like I do in every town with an El Charro) with no chicken and no tomatoes. He asks me ââno beansâ and I said âno chicken, all BEEF (stressing the F) - he asked the beans again I said âhe likes beans and beef but not chicken, so no chicken or tomatoes, pleaseâ well his plate came all chicken. We had to wait forever to hunt down the guy. He ignored us the entire time. Only gave us one salsa, wouldnât refill our chips. I try to tip $10 anywhere I eat, when my bill is $28 I find that to be a gracious tip! I worked in the food industry for a decade. I teach my kids that this is how you see what kind of person you interact with - how they treat wait staff. This was a lesson of how the wait staff treated us. Very disappointing. My daughter has never complained or left food on her plate, especially at a Mexican restaurant. She wouldnât even eat the plain red sauce ground beef burritos because it was just like eating nothing - watery soggy tortilla - and no seasoning to the meat or sauce. I would say spend a few extra bucks down the road or try the...
Read moreGREAT. Great environment, great customer service, and a great menu. I'm a Cali girl and was very hesitant to try any Hispanic food away from old Mexico but wow, I'm floored. The staff WILL make you laugh, they will remember you, you will leave satisfied and you will be surprised at the reasonable prices and good sized plates. To be honest, my first time was not great. I got this California burrito (because I saw a crunchy taco plateđ€ź) and it was not like a burrito I get at home. There was honey, ketchup, and bbq sauce as table condimentsđ± and when I asked about chili sauce the guy looked at me crazy. Fast forward a year, I've gone twice this week. 2nd trip I got ceviche, and I was pleasantly surprised. And it came with lots of avocado like I NEED, in Cali that would've been $2 extra. And today, today I got tacos. They do have "street tacos"! No lengua but good asada and they were beautiful and sooo much meat with all the good toppings and let me tell you, their red chili was masterful. Thick and spicy like I like it.
TLDR; YOU...
Read moreWorst take out weâve ever had! We ordered 2 shrimp quesadilla meals and they didnât toast the tortillas at all! It was like eating a pile of mushy goup! The shrimp inside stunk and has a super fishy flavor to it! We ordered a large cheese dip and they gave us 1 small salsa(which tasted old like it had been sitting for days and the cilantro welted) and 1 small bag of chips acted put out that I asked for a second salsa. The beans were ice cold, like they were pulled right from the fridge and thrown in my container! I grew up on El Charro. Literally ate it 2-3 xâs a week my whole childhood. Now they have went majorly downhill! If youâre forced into eating here for a birthday or something, the rice and the cheese dip are the only edible things to eat! Donât waste ur money on the rest! Iâll never eat this El Charro again!!! So pissed! Didnât even bother to complain, they made it clear they donât care by what they served us! Oh and I asked for no pico add tomatoes and they it pico on...
