Pistol Creek Liquor — Local services in Carthage

Glad to find a convenient liquor store that’s very clean and has a drive-through. Picked a wine yesterday and clerk recommended another so we bought it. It’s undrinkable and they refused to take back or exchange, which is fine if it was one I picked. They recommended it and should make it right. Staff were rude even though we were not. Disappointed cause we buy a lot of liquor and would have patronized them a lot

Update glad to see a response from the business however as stated in our discussion in person and above we did not request a recommendation. I had picked a bottle of wine and the clerk came to me on the floor and led me over to another section and said this is what you want, what everyone is buying and really liking, so I bought it instead. Brought it home to have with dinner, took a drink and spit it out it was so bad.

It’s only a $10 bottle of wine but it’s the principal causing me to make a review. The store recommended a bad wine and behaved badly when it was brought to their attention. If I had chosen the wine myself I would’ve poured it on the compost pile instead of bringing it back.

I went in to buy some liquor to make some special mixed drinks and was not sure what to buy. The Owner was very helpful and explained what mixes I would need and how the different mixes would change the flavors. When it came to the Vodka I grabbed for a big bottle of the most expensive one. He asked me if he could recommend something different, he showed me a different brand that was a good bit less expensive and was highly recommended on the market. This was Tito's Handmade Vodka, he explained about the 5 times filtering process and I looked it up on my phone on the shop. I took it, it was great, I now by this now exclusively for mixed drinks, Kahlua and vodka or straight shots. And I also compared the price on the market for what I could get it other places and he had a great price on it. I have bought other things from him on his recommendation and they were all really spot-on. It's nice to be able to buy something at a fair price and get great service and honest recommendations. Service was indifferent and hostile .I was viewing their selection thoroughly before deciding what I want for the night , But was told to “have a goodnight “ because my presence was making the guy nervous . He didn’t want to be helpful or care about what I would have liked to purchase at all. I left very disappointed and hurt as to why someone would be this way to another .
