The hotel was clean and staff very friendly, The indoor pool was always busy, mostly with kids and it was very noisy, out into the hall. It was quiet at night and I had black out curtains. The bed was comfortable and I was able to relax and sleep well. The TV didn't have many channels and no TV guide so I had to go from channel to channel to see if there was anything on, by the time I found something, it was half over. It was close to town and the fairgrounds, where I visited for the Garlic Festival. The front desk staff were very helpful showing me things to do and recommending restaurants in the area. They didn't have much to work with since there didn't seem to be much to do in that little town. My room was really small, it was like a single room, with 2 beds. You had to move furniture to sit at the computer table but the WiFi was free and also free HBO.. They missed cleaning my room, one of the days; I had to ask to have it cleaned. The housekeeper that I had; didn't speak any English, I couldn't understand her and I don't think she could understand me. I ate breakfast the second day and it didn't have as much of a variety of food as others I have stayed in. It was just fair; I didn't eat there for the rest of my stay so I;m not sure if they changed it up or not. I appreciated that they had a refrigerator in the room and a microwave. It may have had a coffee maker but I don't remember it, and didn't use it, if it was there. They had coffee up front, 24 hours a day; I was told, but I didn't take advantage of it. All rooms are probably different so some are probably more comfortable than others; my stay was fine, some others may have had an excellent experience. It seemed to be the best hotel in the area and if I go there again I would stay there if I didn't find a better one. I think it was overpriced but you are kind of, at their mercy when you travel. You don't have any...
Read moreThis hotel was cleaner than ones I've stayed in most recently. The staff and hospitality was good. The breakfast was okay, same usual HIE breakfast as anywhere else EXCEPT they didn't have any Gluten Free Muffins or other breakfast items other than the fruit and yogurt that my husband could enjoy. Our room was quiet. The beds are a little too firm for me. The location is kind of in an industrial area but we stayed on a Friday evening so it was quiet. It's just off the freeway, near strip malls and eateries. We stayed one night just to get the kids out of the hot house and into an indoor pool for their fun. I LOVE THE FACT THAT THIS HOTEL UPHOLDS THE "IN GOD WE TRUST" STATEMENT right as you enter into their parking lot. And we ALL LOVED the fact that they offered a complete line of cable channels, for the kids, religious channels and HBO for movies. We've stayed at other HIE's and this was the first one that offered a full complete channel line up which made it a nice variety of selection to view. Overall, I'd say, after fighting about 1-1/2 hours of traffic just to get there, it was worth it and we'd return again. I think we'll book another stay once we return to the area for some school shopping at the outlet mall in Centralia. The Jacuzzi was relaxing too. My husband loved the fitness center layout and he used the weights to stay in shape while we were away from...
Read moreA person named Tivanna (sp) called and left a voicemail two days prior to my arrival inquiring as to the "need" of a reserved room with "roll-in" accessible shower? I was not able to get back to them and upon my arrival, I learned that someone had changed my reservation WITHOUT my knowledge or consent from the "roll-in shower" to am "accessible tub"!? I did not speak to anyone about this at the time because we were already settled into the room and it was only for two nights.....At some point during our first nights stay, a hotel employee knocked on our room door. I answered and the female employee was NOT wearing a face mask and stated she had our shampoo that we ordered!? We had not ordered anything at that time. The next day I did call the front desk and asked for a new roll of TP. Shortly thereafter, a female employee knocked in our room door, again, NOT wearing a face mask!? I accepted the item and thanked them. I did not participate in the breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. The hotel itself looked to be an old, remodeled Motel! I did NOT appreciate the room reservation change without any knowledge or consent or even an offer to compensate for the change? For this reason I DO NOT plan to EVER stay at this location AGAIN! I DO NOT RECOMMEND...
