Sweet Inspirations — Restaurant in Chehalis

This place is in downtown Chehalis in a remodeled historic building. As long as I can remember this place has functioned as an old time soda shop type place. The decor is great, they have barstools for customers to sit at and order food or a soda or long booths you can stretch out in. I like to go here when I'm not in a hurry, and I don't mind spending a little more time. This is a nice place to come with friends or business acquaintances due to its private feel. The food is appropriate for families but for me with kids it would be a little too pricey and maybe not enough food for them, therefore 4 stars for me personally. The food is good, the homemade potato chips were great. There is a couple options for vegetarians, one is a veggie sandwich. Overall a comfortable hometown place to spend a rainy day,...

We've been eating here off and on for so many years I can't count them. At no time... previously...have we ever been disappointed. But this morning was horrible! I ordered a pancake and an egg, over-easy. I got a pancake that tasted of very rancid oil. My over-easy egg was two slices of bacon which always upsets my stomach. When I got my egg, the inside of the white was absolutely raw. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy. The hash browns were very greasy. The gravy might once have met up with sausage, but it was obvious that the sausage was barely passed over the gravy, not left long enough to even become sniffing acquaintances! Before we left, my husband asked if it was the regular cook...It was. What a horrible...

It took someone 10 min to ask us for our drink order and to give us menus. While waiting owner brought in groceries through the restaurant on a cart hitting chairs at my table hitting my knees. Not even a sorry from the person. After we got our food the same person who was taking groceries through the restaurant then began talking about our dog who I guess thought she shouldn't be there. The day was cloudy and 70 degrees,she was sitting in drivers seat not even panting, because I could see her. I would never do anything to hurt my dog including leaving her in a hot car. NEVER HAVE I WANTED TO LEAVE A PLACE SO QUICKLY AND SO INSULTED IN MY LIFE. Not recommended...
