My friends and I had to spend the night BARRICADED in our rooms after someone tried to break into one of them. The absolute disregard from the front desk who said they would check the "cameras" prompted us to call the police, which the front desk had no recollection of it happening when we went to complain about it the next morning and request our money back. Our accounts of WITNESSING what I can only describe as human trafficking and non-guests coming by to jiggle door handles to see what if rooms were open, and then GOING INSIDE ROOMS THAT HAPPENED TO BE, went COMPLETELY DISREGARDED by the "manager" Nicole (who had the audacity to simply say "no" when I told her Feather Nest Inn seems to have a human trafficking problem without even asking WHY I thought that). The rooms had not been cleaned, open bottles of alcohol were strewn about, forehead prints and finger prints on the mirrors, LITERAL MOSQUITO LARVA IN THE "FOUNTAIN" BY THE BATHTUB (it's March btw, too cold for mosquitos outside which means that room had it's own fully sustained mosquito ecosystem contained inside) and black mold on the shower head. Stains EVERYWHERE, bodily fluids, blood, and the room itself looks nothing like the photos. We were offered another room, but before we could even accept, we were put in extreme danger and had a man we had seen going in and out of various rooms on the block, try to break into one of our rooms that we had been congregating in. No, he did not think he had the wrong room--we made eye contact with this slime as he was going in and out of other hotel rooms, and saw him exit the premise IN HIS CAR (meaning he was not a guest) when he overheard us calling the police through the door. Earlier as we were smoking outside, before the attempted break in, we saw a two cars pull up, a man walk into a room with the door ajar, come immediately back out and tell the other gentleman that "they are shutting down." He then left and a woman came stumbling out of the room he came from. When I asked her if she was alright, she responded she was and that she was and that if we were waiting "they have closed up for the night." Twenty minutes later was when the attempted break in happened. There is dangerous, seedy activity happening that the management is aware of and does not care about. There is more, but from the mouth of their own front desk agent, Stephanie, "no one is going to care." When I finally spoke to the owner, his feed was that because no one else reported the activity my three friends and I did, it could not have happened, and that "if we were so scared why didn't we leave" and “did we have video of it" (they told us THEY had surveillance so I'm not sure why I would need to put myself in danger by filming strangers engaging in illegal activity in order to prove it was happening). Three days later, my friends and I are still SICK from breathing in black mold, dust, dirt and...
Read moreTERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. My fiance and i stayed here for two nights for our anniversary and we will never return. upon check in we were notified our reservation had been cancelled with out notice, the receptionist couldnt even find the cancellation email on their end telling me it was a no notice cancellation. We've been planning this trip since November so it was very discouraging. the room we desired (Jungle Room) wasnt available which resulted in us cancelling the professional photoshoot we had booked for that night. the receptionist assured us our room would be available the next day and that we could leave our things in our temporary room (Desert Tent) and that theyd call us when the Jungle Room was ready for us. we returned at 4pm to being locked out of our room with no missed calls. When we got to the lobby they informed us we would have to stay in the Desert Tent room again since we did not remove our items before 12 for cleaning. I tried to explain what the other receptionist explained to me the day prior and all she could say was 'im not sure why shed tell you that'. they then said they called me 3 times to prevent any issues and i told them i have no missed calls. upon hearing that the receptionist says they called my room 3 times and that they never took my phone number when re-entering my reservation. when i asked they had no reason for not gathering all of my details when re-entering my reservation. begrudgingly we headed back to the undesired room to relax to find our whirlpool wasnt working. we called the front desk multiple times and even had them walk us through rebooting the whirlpool but it still didnt work. they refused to send someone over to look at it. its at this point i am extremely dissatisfied with my stay and i request a refund. they refuse to issue a refund and said i must take up all my complaints with management in the morning (they leave at 4pm and do not have an emergency line). When i got the chance to express my concerns to management the next day they still refused to issue me a refund and only offered a $50 off coupon towards my next stay, which doesnt even cover 1/2 of a room with the whirlpool that we'd previously missed out on. but i will never give them my business again. This inn seems to only be concerned about revenue and not building meaningful relationships with guests that turn into repeated business. I would not recommend this inn ESPECIALLY if you are new to booking hotels. Absolutely unacceptable communication between employees and even worse communication when it comes to guests, not to mention the drapes in the room are nailed to the walls and have many questionable...
Read moreOkay so with this one time I was going to add some pictures to show you guys but they were too dark I would have to say first of all let me start from the beginning at first hindsight I felt disappointed with this place because my boyfriend told me that he had free books of room for hand-eye at this establishment and the day of that we were supposed to go and he tries to call to make sure that things are set the person that responds tells him that things aren't said and nothing was ever booked so that already started things kind of going downhill from there for me but things were more so redeemed when he and I had conversation with management and the young lady that we kept speaking to and we finally came to a solution to just drive to Jersey we're from Philly take that drive and whatever was available once we got there just focus on the spot we had the option to rebook but of course we didn't have a computer and when he originally booked he was using a friend's computer and so we weren't able to do that a lot so that complicated things at first but things did get better we got to the hotel we got to book we didn't get to book what we want it but we got to book something and the room was pretty standard I'd say it wasn't the worst that I've ever seen nowhere near but it wasn't at the standards that I would have wanted it to be because I heard the room was non-smoking first thing we noticed when we walked in this is smell like a chimney and then the next thing I noticed is burn marks so that was kind of awkward that a non-smoking room smells like smoke effect but anyway that amongst the tub and shower not being is clean as I would love them to be and when we tried to call for extra towels because I like to clean stuff before I get in they had no extras they said that the housekeeping had left for the day so I did not understand for the life of me why that meant that I couldn't get what I wanted what did I have to do with housekeeping leaving for the day but anyway that's what they told us so you know those few things were like not the best experience situations but I did like how they was able to like give us something eventually even though there was a bit of complication in the beginning so they can do a little better but I'd go back but they would have to do...
