Exceptional Service from Two Amazing Employees
I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Abrii and Ricky during my visit to this GameStop, and let me just say, these are two of the most beautiful souls you could ever meet. I’m from Pennsylvania, but because of the exceptional service they provided, I’ll gladly travel back to this particular store in the future.
I came in late, during what I assumed was inventory time—a moment that could’ve easily felt overwhelming for the team. Despite this, Ricky welcomed me with a warm smile, asked what game I was looking for, and, even after I said it was okay not to search for it, he went above and beyond. He took the time to dig through the boxes and found exactly what I needed.
At the same time, Abrii helped me find another game for my nephew. I didn’t know much about the system he requested, but Abrii patiently guided me, answered my questions, and made the process so easy—all while being so kind and welcoming.
They both set the bar for what true customer service should be. They were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely made me feel appreciated as a customer. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’d rather spend my money where it’s valued, and Abrii and Ricky made sure of that.
To these two lovely souls: thank you for your kindness, your smiles, and for making my experience so memorable. GameStop is lucky...
Read moreOk so this is a chain store and reviewing this one store is sort of like clinging to a specific sports teams' one good year, but here goes: Really good store. It's in a mall so sometimes you get a line or worse, a buyer who has no idea about games getting a gift. I have waited patiently often while a probably generous Grandpa insists he wants, "The game with the punching, that you play on the TV set." The employees have often had to spend a while trying to solve that Sphinxian riddle while I wait to pre-order Call Of Duty. I have also gotten a bit annoyed when I am not in the mood when they do their jobs and try to suggest things for me that I know I don't like, but they are not telepaths. Most of the games I buy anymore are for my sons, so I get suggestions for their type of games, not the kind I like. I am on the higher tier rewards club with them, so I get special offers, discounts, bonuses and discount coupons for buying with them. They do not carry old games or systems, just like Best Buy doesn't have 486 DOS computers anymore. They do have a huge selection of games, not just the top 30 or so most popular, and their staff has regularly saved me money by warning me about games that are too messed up to be any fun, as well as telling me about a game I might not have known...
Read moreGuys...don't lie to your customers and don't upsell them because you think they're stupid. I called yesterday and was told that they had FOUR basic Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. I went in today to get one, and brought some stuff to trade. The two people in there IMMEDIATELY said they hadn't seen a basic Switch 2 console since launch. That the only think they had was the bundle with MarioKart for $50 dollars more. I then repeated myself, that I had called the day before and they had FOUR in stock. The dude at the counter looks it up in his computer and claims they haven't been entered into the computer as part of their stock. I ask him to check again, and LO AND BEHOLD, they had FOUR basic Switch 2 consoles when he went to look in the back. Come on. Are the vendors incentivized to not sell the basic console? What possible reason would they have not to want to sell them when THEY ARE IN STOCK? How could it be that TWO employees didn't know that the console was in the back the whole time? And then people wonder why these B&M vendors are in so...
