Stayed at Travelodge and at first thought it was ok for a cheap price extended stay while our house was being finished. Considering the pool was the only one open at any hotel in the area due to COVID-19 that also seemed like a plus. Walked in room first time and it was dirty. The walls, dressers, lights, and mirrors all had a residue that seemed like a normal layer of some kind of fog was a regular thing that would settle on the the surface areas and create a film that only if scrubbed with 409 or bleach would come off. Every time you touched anything it would leave a stickiness on your hand. It was gross! As we stayed my wife complained a little about itchy red bumps that definitely looked like bites. This went on for the time we stayed at the hotel (pictures of bites taken and recorded with time and place). As we packed up our clothes to leave the hotel we noticed a fully mature bed bug and caught it (pictures also taken with time and place recorded). I took the bed bug to the front desk to inform them of the issue and the middle aged middle eastern lady at the front desk grabbed that bug out of my hand so fast and scurried into the back where I can only imagine she threw it out and then came back and instead of being met with concern or gratitude for bringing attention to a potentially devastating problem, I was met with a no big deal and dismissive attitude. I then showed her the pictures I have and informed her that I would like to know how this was going to be taken care of. I now am leaving a hotel with only God knows how many bed bugs in my stuff only to go infest the next place that I am going to. The lady at the front desk said they would wash my clothes, the only problem is the clothes aren't the only thing we needed to be fumigated ie luggage, shoes, pillows, blankets. I asked to speak to a manager in which I was told they were at church and wouldn't be available until the next day. There was absolutely the only person that was in charge of an entire hotel and actually lives on the premises said they could do nothing. Unbelievable. We left the hotel and went to a friends place that had a finished guest house/1 room studio that we were able to place all our stuff in and bomb in order to kill anything that was on our belongings. That was a 24 hour process that made it so that we would have to wait an entire day before we could come and use the hotels commercial washer and dryer. The hotel has my information and I figured that after the management got out of church or at least by the end of the next day they would have reached out to me to make sure everything was ok or really just any kind of concern if not for me then for their business. We came to the hotel the following day only to be met with a complete rudeness and told we could not use their washer and dryer and that we just needed to call whoever we want to tell whatever we want to tell. They said it didn't matter and there was nothing they were going to do with a smile on the middle aged white lady that reeked of California liberals face. I stayed at this hotel and payed over a total of $800 and ended up with Dr appointment for my wife due to excessive itch from bug bites on her chest, back, legs, and arms. A task of bombing our clothes and other belongings and the cost of having everything professionally cleaned to ensure that I would not bring the infestation with me anywhere else. I hope you read this entire review because you stay at the travelodge in Clarksville off exit 4, you will be bringing it back home with you and all the havoc that will cause with a guaranteed infestation. Please do you and your family a favor and stay...
Read moreOk so we were going to Iowa to see family we left home at 6 pm after we worked all day got to the hotel close to midnight. Just needed to stay for one night until we could get back on the road the next morning. I booked through Hotel Engine and the room had already been paid in full. When we arrived the guy behind the counter was very rude and he demanded we pay a $50 cash deposit or put a credit card on file. I told him I did not have cash and handed him my bank card. He looked at it and said “No debit, I need credit card” I explained I didn’t own a credit card. He huffed and puffed and said I will do it this time. He gave us the first room key and directions to the room. The curtains did not even cover the window and Upon entering the room the smell of marijuana was so strong it immediately gave me a headache. So we went back to the office and he gave us the key to 2nd room and directions which was right down from where the office was so we walked straight to the room. To say this room was disgusting is an understatement! The blankets had what looked to be crusty bodily fluids on them. The sink basin was cracked, the hair dryer was melted, the ironing board looked to have blood/poop on the cover. The bathroom had mold in the shower the shower head was falling out of the wall the door facing were absolutely filthy. The a/c unit was molded and rusted with the plug sticking up out of the floor. There were foot prints from boots on the walls and also greasy handprints. There was what looked to be blood on the phone and possibly splattered on the lamp shade. Multiple holes in the wall that were poorly patched and never repainted. There were absolutely zero toiletries maybe a quarter roll of toilet paper. There was only 1 towel. At this point I called Hotel Engine and they immediately refunded my money so we could go to another hotel. While I was on the phone with them the attendant came to room and very shortly said room okay? I told him no we were going to another hotel and he said fine move your truck. This was the worst experience I have ever had please no one ever go here. I have...
Read moreWe stayed here 3 weeks ago. We had been driving all day and were exhausted, looked online and found this place. Price was reasonable so we decided to pull in for the night. The room was absolutely filthy!! I could not believe this was a Wyndham hotel!! First thing I noticed was the horrible smell when opened the door!! The carpet was extremely dirty and actually felt sticky & damp..so had to keep shoes on at all times, The coffee pot in room was very dirty, with stuff stuck at sides of pot, there were splatter marks of something all over the bathroom door, the towels were yellow and brown stained, the TV screen and remote were both sticky and covered in filth!! The middle of the bed sunk in badly, there was stains all over sheets and blanket! Shower pressure and shower were good but that's seriously the only good thing I can say about the room!! I am also a Wyndham employee and rewards member and just blown away at this property/room!! We rented 2 rooms that night because of how many people were traveling and both rooms were pretty much the...
