Terrific hobby store in the classic style of the old neighborhood hobby store. This place is a treasure you cannot find anymore.

Doug and friends are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel like family just chatting. My son and I had a wonderful rainy afternoon this past Saturday exploring and poking through the stacks of amazing goodies in the store. This is exactly the kind of experience that I remember from my childhood that I wanted my son to have. He ditched electronics the rest of the weekend for the model kits we chose. Great prices! From trains, to aircraft/ship/monster/car models, toys, and science kits they have it all. A deep hobby and mil-history books and magazines selection is in the back corner of the store and very well priced. Marvelous large oversize photo books of trains and military equipment that are a pleasure to hold and peruse. Take that Kindles. Museum quality dioramas and models on display that fire up your kids creativity spark. To sum up, you will find it impossible to leave the store not buying something unique you will come across. Doug and his friendly staffs personal service and attention really bring home the difference between brick and mortar stores, and the soulless for profit mercenary that is e-commerce. I frequent this hobby/train store for literally everything. Nice amount of military model kits in most scales, with good paint and glue selection. They have a great rolling stock selection, with good deals if you buy a few train cars at once. Nice selection of locomotives. (My layout is HO scale so that's all I really notice.)
