On 7/31/25, after getting my car inspected at the New Castle, DE DMV, my brake lights mysteriously stayed on, even after parking & removing the key. And it was past closing time at my local repair garage so now my battery was likely going to die overnight before I could get a chance to get the issue resolved.
Enter James C. of the Claymont, DE AutoZone. I had never even heard of an issue with the brake lights staying on, but when I went to the Claymont AutoZone for help, coincidentally there was another customer there for the very same issue (& they had also been to the DE DMV that very same day - hey, Iām not necessarily saying anything, butā¦ š¤š¤·š»āāļø).
James C. went out to my car & quickly located the issue (a very small broken part that I didnāt even know existed). I bought a $10 replacement part at the store, but had absolutely no idea how to actually fix the problem. James C. went out & installed the new part &, boom, problem solved! He saved me from most likely having to get a jump on my car from my garage the next day, buying a new battery, & having to pay however much for parts & labor - all for just $10. Who knows how much money (& trouble) that he ultimately saved me.
Thank goodness for the kindness, generosity, knowledge, & experience of James C. - he really saved the day for me. Thank you, James C.! I owe...

I work for a mechanic shop so I deal with stupidity daily (yes, just like everyone does) but the 2 guys that were there Friday afternoon (7-20-18)..... Were NEXT LEVEL stupid! They screwed up everything!! Call to be sure they have the rotor, "yes we do & i'll set it aside now", so I go...... there are 2 employees with a long line, I finally get to the counter & guess what!! Yup, You guessed it..... NO ROTOR!! š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬ So there goes 20 mins for nothing! He said "the other store 3 miles away should have them." I said well You wanna call to be sure? "Sure but then You'll have to pay for them here & go get them" Again, i'm good with it (not really but I needed the rotors) so I finally get to the other store & there are plenty of employees, super friendly, very helpful & apologetic even tho they didn't do anything wrong. I was in & out in under 5 minutes!!! The WILMINGTON store should be the goal for CUSTOMER SERVICE for all stores & they should TRAIN the CLAYMONT store! This was the worst...

I was asked is there anything I can do for you and I actually stated that I came in earlier about my motorcycle battery and they was charging it for me. They went and found the battery and had bad news. The battery didn't fully charge and was stuck at 45% after two hours. I found myself a little down at that news, but they encouraged me by looking for coupons or a deal that could help satisfy and uplift me. They found me a coupon and I was able to walk out of there with a new battery and my head held high. I then realized this was exceptional service and went back to get both of their names and I think at that moment they also felt good because I think they knew I was going to leave a good review.
