It was legit a place to lay your head, my room smelled just like and ashtray under your nose and no soap or anything of that nature to clean yourself in the shower. Was told a price when I called and when I got there naturally it was more expensive. Update after owner responded. I did book the room at the time I called with Jessica. I was told the credit card wouldn’t be charged just needed to reserve the room. I was told once I got there and stayed it would then be charged. Short answer is your hotel is rated a 2 star hotel and it reflects as such. Also a continental breakfast dosent consist of what is displayed in pics below. Sugar cereal and hostess chemical things???? Apple and oatmeal was yummy thank you for that.

The walls in this motel are so thin people talking sound like they are in the room with you. People next to me kept cussing at their kids the whole night, if I didn’t hear them cussing it was the kids crying. Huge gaps under the doors makes you wonder how many bugs and rodents have crossed under it. I’ve stayed at worse motels then this one but not many. I would avoid this motel if at all possible

The worst stay I've encountered for this month, didn't sleep well because I started coughing a few minutes after being in the room. It was like I was breathing mold and mildew, which made my chest feel congested. All the manager said was sorry about that, but sure wasn't sorry for taking my $180

It's a low end accommodation lacking cleanliness and needed updates. We would not choose this establishment again. ||||I thought a while about my review to make sure I'm being objective. My sister and I stayed here in July 2023 on a trip home from Michigan to see her son. I accidentally left my inexpensive necklace lying on the bathroom counter at this motel.||||When we arrived home in Texas, I called and inquired about having it sent to me and the person answering the phone said that they did have my necklace but that they weren't responsible for forgotten items. I explained its sentimental value and they still refused saying they have a sign posted saying they aren't responsible and would need identification to return it. He told me that I would have to travel to Indiana to retrieve it. ||||My sister, who paid for the room, also called and offered her driver's license number and credit card number to meet the requirement of needing identification. She asked them to consider our circumstances and mail the necklace to me and they refused again, saying they aren't responsible and we would have to travel back to Indiana. ||||I then wrote a respectful note addressed to the manager. I explained that I am a senior citizen, unable to travel from Texas back to Indiana. I explained that my husband and I celebrated our 47th anniversary this year, and that he gave me the necklace 20 years ago. It has no monetary value but great sentimental value. I explained that I understood that they did not wish to be responsible for the item being lost in the mail and that I alone was taking the risk. I included a stamped, self-addressed envelope with extra postage. ||||I asked the manager to please step outside a business mindset and to consider the humanity of the situation, and to just please, please drop this tiny necklace in the provided envelope and drop it in the mail. I thanked the manager for considering my circumstances and for their time.||||Imagine my joy when I found the envelope in my mailbox a week or so later, giving thanks that there are good people left in the world. With relief and gratitude, I was already thinking about giving my husband and my sister the good news.||||I opened the envelope and it was empty. They actually took the time to lick the envelope, seal it, and put it in the mail but refused to drop the necklace in as well. I was astounded at the hatefulness of this action. ||||None of us has ever heard of a motel/hotel who would not return forgotten items at the customer's expense. Do they just get to keep it? Pawn it? Give it to their girlfriend?||||My sister said she would travel back to Indiana when visiting her son in Michigan for Christmas, and would go by and get it for me, so I said no more about it to the establishment. However, she ended up flying instead of driving, so my necklace from my sweetheart now belongs to someone else.||||I'm am by turns furious and baffled by this policy and this behavior from this establishment. But more, I'm...

OCCUPIED ROOM! We came in late at night but had to ring the desk bell a couple of times before the clerk came out of the back room. It appeared he had been sleeping. His eyes were red and his bushy hair was smashed flat in back. He was mentally slow from being recently awoken. We asked to see a room before booking. The first room we looked at was heavily perfumed, as in scented cleaning products. We asked to see another one so he gave us a key to a room that hadn't been used or cleaned recently. He told us it might be chilly in there. When we opened the door, warm air rushed out. Then we noticed the TV was on, then saw the backside of a naked man lying on top of the bed. I'm sure he was as shocked as we were. I felt very angry at this incompetence and told the clerk what happened and that we weren't staying because of it. He said he was sorry and that he should have checked in the system first to see if the room was occupied. THIS WAS A FIRST! Wish I could have...

Econo Lodge is the lower end of the Choice Hotel chain. That being said, Cloverdale, Indiana Econo Lodge was one of the better ones. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the internet signal was excellent even on the second floor. I had a fridge and microwave in the room which was nice for a three night stay. The air conditioner worked excellent, and the desk clerk was nice, although I don't think she entered my Choice Number in when I checked in. (Choice Hotels really need to train their employees to do this so I don't have to call the 800 number to report a missing stay.) Other than what I noted above, I can't complain about the Cloverdale, Indiana Econo Lodge. Actually better than many Quality Inn hotels. Anyone complaining about this hotel and are wanting more "amenities" needs to fork out more than $50. If you aren't willing to do so, then you should appreciate this hotel and for the...
