I have to say that I dreaded the thought of having to buy a mattress. I walked into an American Furniture and I was almost talked into buying a mattress that I did not want because it was the only one that fit my budget. I heard an ad on the radio and decided to stop by and just browse what they had before I settled for something based on price and price alone. I was greeted by Keison and Maurice and they immediately started to show me mattresses that I wanted based on my preferences, not just my budget. I was a bit scared, because I told them I could not finance at the moment due to the pending purchase of a home and Keison worked his magic and got me the mattress I wanted for the price that I could afford! I was a bit in shock as I walked out of the store knowing the amount of money I had just saved. The mattress that they sold me was MY MATTRESS and my wallet was not an issue. As a single mommy, I value these things. I often get people trying to take advantage because I am the only decision maker in my house. Not here! I loved it and will be returning to another mattress for my guest bedroom in my new home very soon! Oh, and the delivery! I can't brag enough about them either. Our sales associate was Aaron and he surpassed our expectations. He went above and beyond to give us the best experience! I'm 3 months pregnant and my husband I were in desperate need of a new bed. We went looking around and he gave us a quote with a great price and let us think on it. He didn't pressure us or anything. We came back a few days later and bought the mattress. We then set up a delivery time. However, the delivery drivers called and said they were at our house. We told them we would be there in 2 minutes and they told us they would not wait and we would have to reschedule. The delivery driver was very rude. We called three minutes later to tell them we were there and they said the same thing again. They were gone when we got there. The delivery service is trash and would NOT recommend them at all. However, our amazing sales associate volunteered and went and got our mattress after he got off work.He picked it up with his own truck on his own time and brought it to our house. He helped us move and install everything (we have an adjustable base). He was so kind, friendly and absolutely outstanding to go out of his way to make sure my husband and I had our bed. I was looking for a new box springs and matress and had been to MANY matress stores, including a Matress Firm across town. When i first walked in, i was immediately greeted, even though the sales clerks were dealing with other customers. I was able to browse and the first young man, Ian ,was able to break away for a few seconds to explain their color coding on mattresses, and to inquire about if I knew about their sales going on at present. I didn't., so he explained each sale going on, and suggested that I try out each matress to see what I wanted. He then split his time between me and another customer. After I had finally decided, he has Breana help me check out and arrange delivery. I have worked in sales, and this was quite possibly some if the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I have ever had!! There was NO pressure to buy their most expensive item, and, they pointed out the better sales to me to help save MY money.
