In the mood for a succulent chinese meal? Let me share my honest experience with yall. Im sorry for the glare in the photos. I didnt realize it until I got home. The only thing slightly hidden because of it is the drink price, which is 3.19.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at a new (to me) buffet called King Buffet, and I wanted to share my thoughts in a review.
My go-to buffet has always been Ultimate Buffet, but upon discovering King Buffet, I was intrigued by its larger size and the addition of a Mongolian station. The sushi selection at King Buffet was indeed impressive, although it's worth noting that a larger selection doesn't always guarantee freshness, as the sushi tends to sit out longer. However, I was delighted to find that everything else at King Buffet was consistently hot and fresh.
When my party of two adults visited on a Monday at 3 p.m., we paid around $35 before tip, which I found to be a reasonable price. What made the experience even better was the lack of crowds—unlike my previous visit to King Buffet on a Friday evening a couple of weeks ago when it was packed. The spacious seating arrangements at King Buffet also exceeded my expectations, providing a comfortable and enjoyable dining environment.
Additionally, I noticed that King Buffet offers slightly lower prices for their take-out options, which is a great bonus. In terms of overall quality, King Buffet truly excels, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the establishment. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
While I still personally prefer Ultimate Buffet, I must admit that King Buffet holds its own in terms of quality and variety. One notable advantage of King Buffet over Ultimate Buffet is their offering of fried crabs at dinner, which I thoroughly enjoyed. On the other hand, Ultimate Buffet impresses with a smaller yet fresher selection of sushi. Ultimately, both establishments provide excellent choices, and it comes down to individual preference.
I would like to highlight the diverse range of chicken dishes at King Buffet, which offers a greater variety compared to Ultimate Buffet. Furthermore, the crab rangoons at King Buffet were notably superior, with generous filling that made them truly delightful.
Lastly, in my experience, Ultimate Buffet has King buffet beat on service. In my experience over the course of the 5 years I have been dining at UB, I have experienced outstanding service everytime. At King Buffet I have gone a few minutes with an empty glass before being offered refills. I also find the employees friendlier at UB.
In conclusion, King Buffet offers a top-notch dining experience with its high-quality food and a pleasant atmosphere. Although my personal preference still leans towards Ultimate Buffet, I recognize that both buffets are in the same league, offering exceptional options for a...
Read moreI want to start this review off by saying, I usually always love Chinese buffets... But this one is absolutely terrible. This place doesn't even deserve one star. I went here for the first time within the last 2 days and this is everything that's not right with this place: Paying 19.99 (before tax) for a buffet meal per person is rather pricey, as is paying $6.50 "per pound" of food for a to-go plate. It's also strange that their website doesn't have any prices listed on it. The woman at the front counter was friendly enough but spoke barely any English and wasn't helpful. When I went up to go pay and have my to-go plate weighed, I was overcharged by at least $4.00 because I had less than 2 lbs. of food at a rate of $6.50 per lb. and was charged $16-something for the food. The food was dirty, bland and oily (I found at least 1 hair in my food and most of it tasted terrible) Every single employee I ran into, trying to ask 2 simple questions in English, could not understand a word I spoke: One of my questions was "Where is the trash can?" since I had a piece of trash in my hand, and the person I asked that question looked down at my hand said "Okay" then got me a LID for my cup.... when I asked where the TRASH was so I could throw it out. I also tried asking another employee something simple but he just shook his head at me and couldn't even say "I don't know" or speak any English at all. This food was terrible and I only found very few things that were actually edible and found at least one hair in my food. I would have left a complaint on their website but I doubt anybody would actually understand a word I say. (I still have my receipt and the white hair I found in my food and didn't see any employees wash their hands or using gloves). This restaurant shouldn't be serving people unsafe food. I'm now wondering if "King Buffet" hired every person who wrote a positive review on here, because no person in their right mind would...
Read moreIf you have an onion allergy then I don't recommend this place. Almost everything is cooked with onions. My friend said that the sushi and Mongolian grill was excellent but a little too much on the spicy side. Since I have an allergy to onion I couldn't eat much but what I could eat was perfectly good. The chicken however I couldn't bite into or cut. It was hard as a rock. The chicken on the stick was done very well. The seafood was not over done and was succulent. The salad and dessert bars had a wide variety of selection to choose from. They have a vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream as well as a twist. The cones were nice but the bowls could be bigger. They also have a nice selection of individual containers of ice cream to choose from. Each eating section had it's own TV but you can't hear it over the music that they play. You are greeted at the door by a tank full of water with plastic fish swimming in it. Then a host or hostess will seat you the meal with a drink will cost you $15 and some change per person at lunch time. The waiter kept the drinks full and was very friendly. They take the cash/card while you still are at the table. On the way out they have mints as well as a take out menu. They also say goodbye and come again as you leave. Overall I give it a 3 star. I had to take away a star for the allergy food as well as the hard chicken and overly spicy sushi. They could sell great sets of chopsticks and such. Otherwise they do have the cheep wooden ones that comes with the meal as well as regular silverware. One thing I miss is I didn't see egg drop soup there. I also took a star away for it's price. $10 for everything is good but $15 is on the high side. They also give you a drink to go in a small styrofoam cup as well as a fortune cookie per person. Overall this was a good experience. If I ever have extra money to eat with I would like to go back to eat at the...
